I have brought back the Sam quote. It's about time some Tolkien goodness was back in my sig!

I used to have the darkroom link in there.

That isn't the only reason why people should post their signatures. People change them and then when you go back to read the thread you have no idea what they are talking about. There are many old threads where people mention their sig and isn't included in the post - so you have no idea what they were referring to.

As an example I've seen something like this in a post.... "As my sig says v" pointing down to their sig,

I'm impressed you got all those URLs in there without going over the limit. I just figured out that I too can have many urls in my sig! Tinyurl.com is the answer. I'll do it some other time and many put the dark room link back in.

I dunno, I'm personally glad it didn't get mangled under the "creative script writing" dull axe of bludgeoning.

The scene fades to Bag End, Hobbiton.
Frodo: We should have realized Saruman had done all this!
Merry: They even cut down the Party tree!
Saruman (steps out door): Haha! You fine lordlings took your time on the way home, thinking your home was safe. My home is destroyed, and now I've returned the favour. I only wish I had had more time. Wha--?

Arwen, riding Asfaloth, gallops over the hill and straight towards Bag End. She's armed with a bow and standing in the stirrups, an arrow pointed at Saruman. She shoots, and the arrow is true. Saruman dies on the doorstep of Bag End, grey mist blown away in the breeze. Grima has been cut. Fade to cart scene and carry on as usual.

Offstage

Grima: I don't see why I was cut. It doesn't make sense.
Glorfindel: Tell me about it.

There used to be no stupid limit to the signature size. I hate the way the signature size is calculate too and have complained many times that they should n't go by a fixed character limit - but should judge for themselves what is too long. Vbullentin conts everything - include b-code and url information when counting the characters. I can make a very long sig if I want and have 1 letter on each line and it defeats the whole purpose of the sig limit.

BTW - I can NOT change my sig without losing all my urls in there.

Just a few quotes I like, I love Emily Dickinson, and the Charlotte Bronte quote is from Jane Eyre. And the next one is part of a poem, 'The Touch of the Master's Hand'. And the last one is (obviously) from A MidSummer Night's Dream, cause I love Shakespeare, and this line was talking about me! Yay for siggies Free tea and carrots for everyone!

Yeah I know, it is dumb. All the messsage boards I post on calculate sigs that way but you're right about 1 letter per line. Hmph.

Well your sig is a staple! I don't think you should change it anyway.

My Nero quote from Suetonius' 'The Twelve Caesars' has been corrected for grammar and status (ie: Imperator)

Okay, I just changed mine again. I don't know if any of you have read the Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan (it's good) and I found this (http://blacktower.net/reader.htm) site and it kinda makes fun of the prolouge, and it's HILARIOUS. The whole paragraph is (((Despair welled up in Lews Therin's breast. "Betrayer of Hope! How dare you? I am the Lord of the Morning! You know what that means? That means nobody gets breakfast until I say so! No coffee, no danish, no newspaper — nothing that is in any way morning-related! Ilyena, we have a guest." He hoisted a woman's pathetic broken form, her golden-haired beauty marred only by the fact that she was a dead, rotting corpse. "Hello," he piped in a falsetto, working her like a big ventriloquist's dummy. "I'm Ilyena! What's your name?"))) But I could hardly fit all that in there. soooo...
