It's been a truly remarkable evening for the Sweden in Madrid at the European Indoor Athletics Championships:

Gold and Silver in by Kallur Sisters in the 60 m hurdles, Women.
Bronze for Sweden in the 60 m hurdles, Men

Gold for Sweden by Stefan Holm in the Men's High Jump, him being the 10th man over 2.40 in the world.

I'm extremely happy after having spent almost two days (and a long, cold night) with Tolkien-fans and similar people!

Dead tired right now though, didn't get any sleep last night (spent most of it singing and wandering the city in about -10C degrees).

I'll probably receive a few pictures of Pytt tomorrow or some of the following days. Line up people.

I love love love Model Congress. We just wrapped up our conference (I was junior staff) and it was one of the best 4 day periods in my life (at least, 4 days on the same event).

I am now nostalgic, what, 10 hours later? Which is how good it was. Enthusiastic delegates, absolutely great other staffers... just a lovely experience.

Had a nice weekend. On Saturday my wife and I went through the Jackie O exhibit at the Field Museum, had early dinner together, then I checked off about 3 things on my 'to-do' list that evening. Yesterday after church I took the older two boys to a birthday party at a gymnastics center - lotsa fun! When we got home we broke out a game of Monopoly we hadn't opened yet and started to play (my oldest especially is a big 'gamer' - he's 6, almost 7). After about 6-8 turns the second one (he's 4) got cranky, so I settled him to a nap with a video, then did some things I'd procrastinated on - changed about 5 burned-out light-bulbs and finally took down the little one's crib (he's 2 and hasn't used it for months!).

Oh - but of course!

And... meant to mention about Sunday - here in Chicago it suddenly got unseasonably warm... sunny, bright, clear sky - it was about 60 degrees! I was tempted to call Winter officially OVER! Actually - I was tempted to grill out - when I got back home and could smell that someone else was doing it.

Anyway - the natural order has been restored. It was about 30 degrees cooler today and there was snow flying around in the air (no accumulation though).

Every day I get more sure that I chose the right thing to study - every day I enjoy it more, find it even more interesting and really feel like I learn something. On top of all this, I've finally found a group that seems to accept me as an individual, not based on silly small properties of my personality. I'm happy.
