Off topic

...

If it weren't for Pixar, Disney would be dead by now (though that's not truly on topic either )

OMG E.T. was soo scary. That movie gave me soo many nightmares I still can't watch it. Just thinking about it makes me shudder. His finger..... I can't talk about it.

Sorry, back on topic.
I love Disney... well, I used to. All the old movies are so good. They haven't made a decent movie since Aladdin and The Lion King. And I'm not talking about Pixar, just Disney. Now they are making sequels to the old good movies, which is just ridiculous. Cinderella lived happily ever after. THE END.
I am just disappointed with it. I haven't seen any of those "mistakes" but I don't think I want to.

A bit of advice: NEVER, EVER watch "Long Time Dead". (Despite the title, I don't think it had anything to with the Dead, tho')

Not the dead, but the Djinn, a fire demon.

ok I was four when I saw E.T. and he looked pretty scary. I had so many nightmares after I saw it. E.T. would chase me around and if he touched me I would become like him. When I see it now I am just reminded of when I was little. And No I did not have therapy. I generally don't like horror movies but I can watch them w/o a problem.
Just to let you know....

I can understand that. When my brother saw Rankin-Bass' The Hobbit, he was petrified of Gollum. He nightmared for weeks about him.

I never heard of that. I thought he was a cute little friendly alien who needs help getting home and likes Reeses' Pieces. I think ET is the second most depressing Disney I've seen next to Charolette's Web.

But anyway, you're right Elvengirl. You don't want to see those 'mistakes.' They're what'll scare you undoubtedly, especially if you're a little kid.

And I read about a few in Who Framed Roger Rabbit. In the very beginning he runs underneath a fat lady, and she jumps up really high and (in only one frame) is evidently not wearing underwear. A similar thing happens later when his girlfriend swings around a lightpost and kiddie audience can see up her skirt to her... you know. That stuff could petrify little kids.

E.T. SCARED THE CRAP OUT OF ME. I COULDNT STAND IT WHEN HE WOULD GET SCARED AND SCREAM. but i did like close encounters of the third kind which was an excellent movie.
