IMO Fëanor only went evil because of Melkor. Everything Melkor said to Fëanor was to undermine the Valar and turn Fëanor against them.

I agree with Spidey, she could easily have followed in the footsteps of Morgoth, Sauron, Feanor...

Well, the point about Galadriel, I think, isn't that she could have followed in the footsteps of Feanor, Sauron, etc., but rather that she didn't. Despite being tempted (the whole creepy bit), she turned away from the temptation.
I'd change the fate of Beleg, Hurin (same reasons as Lefty, see above), or Turin, because no one deserves that horrid of a life!

I thought Turgon was your favourite character.

Easy question. If it was up to me, Beleg would still be alive. He really deserved it the least to die. And I'm quite sure that if he had not died, he would have been able to prevent that little disaster between Turin & his sister.

I pretty much agree with you, Lenya. Besides, I wanted to read more about Beleg, and was sad that he died so soon. Sooo, even if Turin still did horrible things, at least there would have been more of Beleg. Actually, no. Beleg should have accidentally killed Turin instead of Turin killing him. Or something to that effect.

I would change MÃ*riel's fate, the last queen of Númenor. The poor lass didn't have it easy, being one of the Faithful at heart but being forced in a marriage to have her throne and right to rule stripped from her while her husband destroyed Númenor before her very eyes. I would have made her board the ships in Romenna and survive the tidal wave so that she could have set her own realm up in Middle-earth.
