Hruad couldn't quite conceal his astonishment. He had come here to visit, been nearly crushed, and now the two were chatting like old friends, ignoring him completely. The rock one, he supposed, had the excuse of being rather stupid (In his opinion), and the ent had excuse in being very young for his kind. Hruad chose to humor them.

"So what is this Order of the Blue Flame?" he asked the Ontor.

Hruad laughed and shook his head. "Thanks, Bushbark, for your offer. It'll be nice to know where you all are headed, but you must know that I'm a representative in the government. I can't go off investigating things like that, though I'm glad that my reliable friend will, with his boulder footed comrade.

"Lucky thing indeed that I came when I did. But if you both are planning to be off, I'd best be heading back towards the court as well. There's only one thing . . ."

Bushbark raised his leafy eyebrows curiously. "Yes?"

Hruad grinned. "I'd like a draft of Entwash, before I go."

Bushbark boomed out a deep, rolling laugh, and turned around. "Unfortunately, our influence is still weak over this river, so it is still mostly natural. This won't keep you green and growing, like the old forest of Fangorn. It takes us a lot of it to feed us, as yet. But that will change. Give my folk a few more weeks, and we'll have it every bit as filling and tasty as the river through Fangorn."

He took out the cup, and Hruad sat down in the corner (as there weren't any chairs), sipping from his drink.

Bushbark walked over to a large cupboard where he took out two large Bottles. One was Green, The other Grey. He handed the grey to me and poured out some of the green into a cup and gave that to Hruad. I drank deeply from the Bottle. ''Ahhh...Rich.'' I exclaimed.
