Ok SGH
If the ONLY way you could be with Finrod was to answer the question as asked, what would it be.

A rohirrim. As I read TT for the first time I had this weird bond with them, even though there were just characters in a story. I guess it's because I'm like them in so many ways. I'm strong willed (like Eowyn) I love to travel and explore, and I have a real connection to animals.
Call me weird... |

I don't know, it's a hard one. Probably a ranger of the North, I like to walk in the wild (or what there is left of it in the Uk). I would have to live near the mountains, definitely. On the other hand, Sam and Frodo get the climbing scene in the Emyn Muil, climbing is my passion, so maybe I could be a Baggins or a Gamgee just for that! Then again, I could be one of Faramirs men, and live in Ithilien, that sounds good too!

Wow, now this is a challenge! Mmmm, let's have a look.
I would probably be in Gondor, Minas Tirith, .(set at the time before the return of the king) Remembering how it used to be, quite unwilling to change all to sudden, but on the other hand not that satisfied with the current situation. Loving their beautiful country around them but sad because it is dimishing. They can be grim but also lighthearted if the situation allows it. There are certain aspects of Elves that appeal to me, such as the feeling that they are often detached from the world around them. On the other hand their wisdom, patience, acceptance of situations and tranquility doesn't often apply to me. Hobbits are definately out of league although I like them a lot. They take everything very easy and with a smile. I can't sing and I don't care that much for food. Well now that's what I call psycho-analysing! Just don't hold it against me. |

I'd probably be another Ranger...
I love travelling, bushwalking etc... and climbing NATURAL rocks... And I'd be an elf-friend (If I cant be an elf ) And the rangers are learned in lore and poetry (I like to think of myself as wise for my age) And they aren't very social (I wouldnt call myself the life of the party )

A Took, if elves are out of the question. Not only am I short and ahve curly hair, but from what I've heard of them I'm quite a took. Perhaps Belladona? She never went on any adventures AFTER she married Bungo, but before?
And I too, am a bit odd, and would have probably caused Gandalf to say "Fool of a Took!" |

I think I would make one amendment. I think I would be a Ranger of the North who has now become a healer at Rivendell.

From Ranger to Healer? That's a pretty big change.

Well, it is based on the person you are actually, and I am putting up my adventuring boots. I have lived away from home for 8 of the last 12 years,6 of those outside of the States.
And, I am returning home to studying bio-medical sciences.

For these reasons: -I am interested in poetry etc, anything to do with languages -I enjoy travelling, and would also enjoy fighting -I am also sort of a loner, but with the people I connect to, I am very close. - I would like to protect others, even though I will receive no credit for it Last edited by Linaewen : 04-15-2003 at 10:05 AM. |

Ranger of the North sounds cool, but totally masculine! I would not want to be one of "their women" (delightful as that might sound! ) because I could not bear having my man away from me so much. So......I guess I might like to be from Rohan, a wife of a Rohirrim, taking care of business!
A hobbit is tempting though! Maybe a hobbit woman who became sterile after her second child! With a big garden, of course. I would be a Brandybuck for sure, as I would like to visit Bree from time to time.

Sorry, but I believe the descendants of Numenor are rather male-dominated cultures.
Lizra, isn't Rohirrim used to describe the race? I think that "Rohir" would be the singular. Though that's just a guess, from the -rim suffix. I could certainly be wrong.
