re

I'll agree with BoP--Ep. 3, if only because Tolkien's books will always be the best as BOOKS (its alot easier to tell a story over a relatively long book than to cram it into a movie that needs to appeal to the normal folk ) I think Star Wars is more suited to the big screen because that was what it it originally was--though in reality, I'll see BOTH of course

I haven’t even seen TTT, got too disappointed with FotR. But I will likely go to see Ep. 3

RotK, but if I think about the fact that I can READ RotK and not Episode 3 I would say E3. It is a really hard choice.

ROTK, not in the least bothered by Ep3. Used to be a massive SW fan then just can't get the same excitement with the prequels....shame.

I'd definately see Episode III. I hate the LotR movies, and I'd at least want to wait until I finished the book to see it. But who would pass up seeing Jar Jar's death? It might be the first SW movie I'll see on its opening day.

JarJar

A bit of a spoiler down here somewhere so you know.

You didn't think that it was messed up? He ruined the 'feel' of Star Wars. He changed all the humor, and now it's all more lovey and everything and less focused on the amazing force. Anakin's going evil was like a sideplot in AotC, next to his growing love for Amadala. And now that aspect of their love will prove pointless, because he has opened up Star Wars to kids now too, and show them having sex (of course not onscreen, but it must be hard to tell too). So it's gonna be jerky and whatnot.
If you know what I mean. You gotta be a hardcore fan I guess.

Not to mention how much that new actor does NOT look like Anakin.

I don't think that Lucas ruined SW, but maybe some people like the old episodes (IV - VI) better than the new ones (I + II).

Well, I going to see them both anyways, and ROTK first, just because it comes out sooner. But if they came out at the same time, Ep. 3 would be first.

Like many people here, I would no question see both - probably both of them several times.

If I could only see one and not the other ever - i would definitely see EPISODE THREE. Why would I see ROTK? I've read the book, I know what happens. The movie will probably be really great - but I will know what happens - I don't need to see it.

Whereas, if I don't see EP.3 , well then I will never get to know what happens in it and I miss out.

It is a very unfair question though.
