Re: TPM Sheet Music a Disappointment
Looking at the above posts, I don't think that this topic is still about sheet music, but I will make a comment anyway. (If it's all right with you) I found the piano book very dissapointing. It needs to be in a different key, and the music needs to be slightly simpler. I'm too advanced for the simple piano book, but the normal book makes me feel like a musical idiot! (And I am NOT a musical idiot. I bit inept, but not and idiot. )

Re: TPM Sheet Music a Disappointment
Yeah, the topic did get a little off the subject, but most of that weirdness is from the board's first few days of existance anyway :P Interesting how both of us disliked the book, but for different reasons

I think I'll bring the weirdness back to this thread.

Re: TPM Sheet Music a Disappointment
Even under two different names? Amazing. Back on topic, as a semi-professional pianist (I'm only fifteen, but I get paid occasionally) who's been playing for 9 years, I too found the book to be a disappointment. I preferred my own arrangements, done by ear, to those in the sheet music.

I think many newbs at this board don't appreciate me after seeing how nobody mentioned me in their mod aps, so I'll bring this thread back to the top to show some of you what it was like when I first came to the board (when it was a mere 3 days old).
Btw, I was dmaul966, Jae was dmaul96, and ryan was one of the original mods and later an admin until, well, a whole other incident which ended up in him almost deleting the board...but thats a completely different story. |

Yeah Ryan went crazy and tried to delete the board, but I stopped him, thus my title.
Those were the good ol' days. (if you see old posts, i was also "captain Tarpols" I've improved slightly on spelling ) I can't believe only one person mentioned me. I still read all the posts daily. It is probably because I don't know many of them because I haven't posted that much in a while. Neither have you, greg. My weirdness isn't being appreciated . I used to be extremely popular at entmoot (up until I guess wave of newbs). I got elected "President of entmoot" (it was gdl's idea but I won) and I also won moderator position. Then when we moved to vbulletin I became an admin. Of course most ppl listed bmilder because they felt they had to (suck ups). They also listed the two current most active mods/admins SGH and Khamul pretty much. Thats not a secret. On the last mod apps I had several ppl say I was their fav admin. Oh well . I'll stop rambling now and I'll hope that someone other than an admin will read it. Did I bring back any weirdness to this topic?

Very interesting read! HOBBIT and gdl96, if I were going to apply, I'd probably list you just for your reactions to not being listed (or being listed once)! Quite enlightening, and very amusing!

I worry
Just out of interest y did the newbies decide to lose the whole point of this thread that looked quite promising. I want the music to the imperial march by the way
