"Well?" Framir asked as Acalewia entered his room.
"Well what?"
"Is the Shieldmaiden doing better?"
"In what aspect? She was on the verge of inflicting harm on Aragorn and Arwen."
"You would too if your uncle had just died, your brother has left and your lover marries someone else."
"Don't even go there, Framir. If you want to meet her just ask, you silly Steward."
"Where is she?"
"The House of Healing. You know that," Framir left to find her while Acalewia went down into the City.

Faramir saw Eowyn before she saw him. He was stuck by her beauty. Then she saw him.
"I am tired of people coming to see to my well being. I am well. Now leave me alone!"
"Who said I was coming to see to your well being. I came to see to you. I am Faramir. If you are not comfortable, I will see to it that you are." Eowyn had to smile at this.
"Very well, Lord Faramir."

Meanwhile in the City.............

Acalewia had gone to see to her horse, Silvermist. The men had left for Rohan the day before. Before going, Eomer bade her to acompany his sister to Rohan when she recovered.
Must these tasks always fall on me? she thought. And why couldn't he have waited until Eowyn recovered before going back? She shook her head. She never could understand the Race of Men.

Just then she collapsed to the floor, clutching her head in shock. She bursts into tears

Faramir knelt down and cluched both of her shoulders.
"I know the pain you are feeling" He helped her up. "I donot think your existance should be miserable. Come, sit." he dried her tears as they sat on her bed.
"I will do anything that you bid, Shieldmaiden of Rohan," His heart was breaking at the sight of Eowyn's distrought.

Eowyn felt a great weight lift off her heart as she gazed into Faramir's eyes. All the love that she had wanted someone to feel for her she thought she saw reflected although that may have been a trick of the light. She looked down and the tears fell down her cheeks again and she wrapped her arms around Faramir and cried softly.

Acalewia finished with Silvermist and now strolled about the city. Now that the danger of Mordor was conqured, dread did not hang over the City. Of course, there were no taverns here either. She began to make her way back to the House of Healing.

"I do," Faramir said, a tear in his voice as he wrapped his arms around Eowyn. "I understand compleatly. I know what it is like to be looked down upon, to be wounded and grieved." In his heart, he knew she was hurt in many ways and he would do what he could to comfort her.

Just then Eowyn let out a small laugh.

"Do you know what, Faramir? I have just realised one of my most ridiculous mistakes. It has just occurred to me that my so called "love" for Aragorn was nothing more than a girlish infatuation - not even that I think. And I have been dwelling on this for quite a while now but there is someone else who has caught my attention since I have been in the city. Someone who is so quiet but yet so bold and strong and you can tell that by just looking at him. I have admired him for days but it is only today that I have had the guts to talk to him. And do you know who that is, Faramir? The man who has stolen my heart by merely capturing my attention? It is you..."

she said gazing into Faramir's eyes.

"When I saw you, I thought I was dreaming. My first thought was who is this beautiful woman and what has brought her here. Then a mutal friend told me who you were and why you were here." He saw the love in Eowyn's eyes. "Then today, when I met you, I couldn't help but feel your pain. For I know the pain of losing someone I looked up to and loved." He kissed her forehead. "I loved you from the time I saw you"

Acalewia returned to Faramir's room. But he was not there. She figured he was getting to know Eowyn better. He had been admiring her for some time and had even asked Acalewia about her. Better her than me she thought.

Faramir laughed. He hadn't felt this happy since his mother died.
"My shadow has departed! The Shieldmaiden of Rohan has healed me of my sorrow and pain!"

Albus was in deep discussion with King Eomer. News had reached the ears of the Golden Hall of a threat growing in the South. Although it had not been investigated, there was talk that it might be a shadow greater than that of Sauron.

Eowyn laughed and stood up, pulling Faramir with her and led him to the window where she wrapped her arms round him and kissed him. She then pulled away and looked out over Minas Tirith.

"Something is amiss. I can feel it with all my being. I will be gone for a few days. If i do not return in a week, assume the worse." Before either could say anything, she was gone.
