Eh, I wouldn't do that. People can be attracted to all aspects of Tolkien, she may find herself identifying more as an Éowyn or a Rosie and be unhappy that she's penned into the Arien box.

*dances* Babies are wonderful! Hope you have one!

I like the name 'Helen', and 'Rhiannon', though I suppose that's a bit outlandish. 'Naomi' is also a favorite of mine. For a boy, 'Gabriel' is the only name I'd consider naming a son. (I'm in trouble if I ever have two, eh? But that's a long way off.)

It's English (as in UK).

Is there no difference in pronunciation in the American accent?

Pronounced the Swedish way? If I'm right, it's pronounced similar to the Italian way, which is very pretty. Speaking of Italian names, I adore the name Leila (Lay-la).

If you like male "A" names I suggest you think about calling your child Anders.

Thats actually a cool name! A goodluck with your baby.

I gave you lots of names above and sites.

And Lin there is no difference in saying the name. It seems way different but its not.

I like the name Irene. Probably because it was my grandmothers name to but spelt differently.

Yes, but the daughter would figure it out pretty quickly. I've certainly asked my parents where my name came from, and even if she didn't I assume you'd get her into Tolkien eventually.

i was in a class at school with 4 other boys called chris and 2 girls called chris!

luckily there was some differentiation because of the funny spelling of my name!

b is said as v, as in siobhan

celtic names are much better sounding than some

If you happen to be a Cubs fan, you could name her 'Addison'! (address of Wrigley Field is 1060 West Addison... as you can learn from watching The Blues Brothers )

A names...
for a guy, Aria (i think it's German)
for girls, Anaies, Ailis (ay-lish), Alanna, Aiyanna, Aithne (ay-??), Amaya (it's Japanese but you could get away with it- it means night rain)

Personally, I also like Kareva, Olga, and Sabrine for girls. Guys, Shane, Ulf, Gabriel. I love Japanese names but I'm not Japanese...

I love the names Aidan or Adrian. Adrienne could be for a girl. You like "A" names...Well, I know a family whose kids names all start with "A". They just like "A" names. They have Adam, Amanda, Ashley, Andrew, Aaron, Alex, and Aidan. Seems pretty crazy at first.
I guess this is weird but... I always really liked the name Anakin. It sounds so nice. Of course, I would never name any child that. (just like I like the name Hermoine. Don't want to be mistaken for a crazy fan whose child will forever suffer because of me!!) When my sister had her first baby she named him Andrew and I would always (accidentally!!) call him Anakin. lol. Weird.
I would write down a list of names that I like but it takes me forever to think of things when I want to think of them. Then, I would have to go to a baby name website and get carried away. I've done it before you know!!

Makes me think of Seven Brides for Seven Brothers... the brothers' names are all taken from the Bible and go in alphabetical order. I don't know if there are many 'F' names in the Bible, so the sixth brother is Frankincense! (or however it's spelled)

That's the same problem my parents ran into in naming me. My mom is a teacher this is what kept happening: "Oh, I like that name. Wait... I remember a spawn of satan named that -- can't name my kid that or I'll think of him all the time... hmmm..."

I like the names Gregory and Calvin for a boy and I'm not sure about what names for girls. My girlfriend said that she only likes two names for girls, Gloria and something else...

That movie is the reason I know the address to Wrigley Field. It's in my 'useless information' file.
