This is awesome. TB, you never cease to entertain in the most clever and witty ways.

Gwaimir edits with the succinct evil smilie, but I'm more long-winded. I think the Constitution would be more palatable if "socialist empire" were removed, since Entmoot is neither particularly socialist nor an empire. I think it's more like a Federation. Also, we should acknowledge that our government is a benevolent dictatorship in the form of an oligarchy. Lastly, since we can't have the entire Constitution in the preamble, I think we should remove the word "Preamble".

Suggested edited text, ready for further editing:

When in the course of events of Men, Women, Elves, Ents, Hobbits, Ents, Beornings, Martians, Vulcans, et cetera, it becomes clear the need to peacably or in the colours pink and purple maintain the order of the Board and the Forums.

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all accounts are registered equal, that they are endowed by their Ben with certain unalienable Rights and Freedoms, which it is the purpose of this document to bring to light. That to secure these Rights, Governments are instituting among Mooters, deriving their just Powers from the singular truth that they have access to the Control Panel of the Board and ordinary Mooters do not. Whenever any form of government becomes destructive of these noble goals, it is the right of the People to complain about it endlessly in General Messages and Feedback and Tech Problems, and to institute a massive bout of Private Messaging, the aim of which is to hope that one more more Administrator will feel sympathetic and acquiesce to at least one of the Mooters' demands. However, the right to free virtual chocolate and tea for all Mooters is inalienable. Prudence, indeed, will dictate governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shown, that Mooterkind are more disposed to suffer, while Evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the Forms to which they are accustomed.

We, the constituent members of the Federation of Entmoot, in order to form a more perfect Forum, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves, and our Prosperity, do ordain and establish this constitution for a greater Entmoot, under Ben. In doing so, it is our hope to establish a non-theocratic government of a benevolent, oligarchic nature. We below soldify the place of Entmoot in the Universe.

We, the Entmootian people, acting through our duly elected representative in the Entmoot Government who is not granted any meaninful power and whose role is purely cosmetic, do proclaim that sovereign power resides with the Moderators and Administrators and do firmly establish this Constitution.
Posts are a sacred trust of the people, the authority for which is derived from the people, the powers of which are exercised by the Moderators and Administators of the people, and the benefits of which are enjoyed by all Mooters. This is a universal principle of mankind upon which this Constitution is founded. We reject and revoke all constitutions, laws, Java, HTML, ordinances, BBCode, and rescripts in conflict herewith.

We, the Entmootian people, desire peace for all time and are deeply conscious of the high ideals controlling human and non-human relationships, and we have determined to preserve our security and existence, trusting in the justice and faith of the peace-loving peoples of the Internet. We desire to occupy an honoured place in an international society striving for the preservation of peace, and the banishment of l33t-speak when not used in jest, dial-up modems, hacking, spamming, oppression, flaming and intolerance for all time from the earth. We recognize that all peoples of the world have the right to live in peace, free from fear and want. We stand by our ultimate goal, to bring the Board into unity.

In addition to this declaration, the Conventions of a number of Mooters, having before the time of their adopting of this Constitution, expressed a desire, in order to prevent misconstruction or abuse of its powers, that further declaratory and restrictive clauses should be added: and as extending to the ground of public confidence in the Government, will best ensure the beneficent ends of this institution.

A spectre is haunting the Internet, the spectre of Entmoot. We stand united in our declaration.

Mooters of all nations, go forth and post, knowing that its content will only be edited if absolutely necessary!
I changed a lot more than I originally intended. What do you think?

I found this quite hilarious once I realised TB lifted a lot from the American Constitution.

LOL! Thank you.

I will get to reading that.

However, I do not intend to remove preamble, as I have not even posted Article I yet. I don't expect this to be ratified any time soon, as I have not even finished Article III.

EDIT: Skimmed it. Haha! Had some fun with this, did we?
