Hey, I wanna help!!! However I can... Is Eowyn's role taken yet?

Another idea... my study hall teacher (who is also a major LotR fan) and I were discussing what we'd do if we somehow got enough money to make a LotR movie, and he said we should make a TV series instead, because otherwise we could never fit in everything that we want... because of course we can't leave anything out, can we?

(I was kinda hopeing to be Eowyn) A seiries sounds great! But we are all kinda on different continents, so I don't think acting in a sieries would work out.

I like the idea of a series, I think we batted that one around a few pages back. It would work - we could film all the episodes at once, as you would film a movie. Probably the best way.

you could split the series into the six different books, and have each one averaging out at about 2-3 hours each, and thus would ipso facto be able to include everything, all in about 12-18 hours film overall

a way for us to actually do it would be to get everyone to take a chapter or so and film that with their friends or whatever and then we put it all together

I know I'm coming late into this conversation, but, I would like to help with the orchestration of the music being composed. With the amount of music one (not to mention six) feature length film takes, it's really helpful to have someone help the composer put their piles of ideas into a more organized form. I compose, I love it, and know the struggles. It's nice to have someone pick up where you're too lazy, or are feeling stuck.
Also, I'm really good at sewing, and drafting patterns. You show me a picture of clothing, and I can tell you exactly how to make it.
I just would love to be involved in some way.
Oh, I play viola, too.

This is a very good idea. Write out the script to each chapter? Brilliant! But I think I'll wait until after the LotR Discussion project. *looks around guitily* Ummm.... I'll be in the book forum.

Hey Em, I'm sure Hectorberlioz would love a hand with the orchestration from a fellow composer. Oh wait... he's the director. We did have someone for composer, but I'm sure we could have two. Somewhere near the beginning of the thread is a list of everyone's roles.

Yeh!! Someone has decided to remake the movies. Give some honour to Tolkien's works and all of that. I'll help, if you haven't allready started without me. Don't have any previous movie experience, but I have an excelent eye for seeing what works and what DON'T work in a movie And I'll help act if there is still an open female role.

This is going to take years to even develop, but if we're really all sincere and if we start contacting eachother for real and talking about it, this could seriously come to be something more concrete. Azalea is/was working on a wonderful synopsis.

Embladyne, we need as many musicians as we can get to work on the music for this.

I think we've got enough Eowyns to fill a mansion. What I really need are three or four lovely secretaries

Well, I can offer some directing skills here, I am wonderful at organization and juggling various projects!

But I am not too proud to be a secretary.

I'll help! I'll be a producer! O.K., maybe that's a little over-ambitious right now, but by the time such a project actually started seeing light, I'd be able to help produce. Oh, and I'd love a cameo as a black rider.

Well organizers are just what I need, really. I've got so many "stars" (if you check back on either page eight, or one you'll find a list of cast and crew), but not many people volunteer for the smaller (smaller as in, not as famous) stuff.

Actually, I might need a Producer Lotesse...it's possible to have more than one eh? One of my sister's volunteered for the position, but she's so busy in college.... Let me check the list to make sure I don't have too many

Indeed! There's no real limit as to how many producers can share the burden of putting up a film project. If they work well together, and vibe together, and all have valuable connexions and a chunk 'o cash to invest, then - the more the merrier.
