This thread is speculating about how we would go about making a Lord of the Rings movie, what would be included in the script, who would play what parts, what the music would be like etc. etc.

However, the thread is no less valid or interesting despite the fact that we're not really making a movie.

In our minds, we are. That is enough, and all we can do.

I suspected as much. Especially the part about not being on the same continents.

Anyway, I am a seamstress also. And I know a few people (koff koff) that make swords. Ok, I'm not a major person if you actually want things.

Well, cheers to all the wonderful people who were serious.

Attention all crew members.
first off, I'd like to thank all my asst. directors for the help they've given me in sorting out this mess of a crew(not exactly sure how much they actually did).
Second,
I thank all the crew members who took the time to put their positions in their sigs.

now...i can spam.

I agree. We could end up writing a serious script, for example, and I think it would be very cool.

well now that we've got that mess straightened out, I agree. We could make real posters and a real script.... and stuuuuff... and thiiiiings...

Sorry. Strongbad moment.

Okay, so why can't I be seamstress? Why can't you let me do everything? I can! I can make this entire movie by myself, writing, filming, directing, playing all the parts. I can!

Just kidding guys. I really can't..

So then, what about a theme.... that's still a valid question. I need a theme for the poster ideas... but not as "dark" as PJs...

Now that I'm reading it again for the project, I can actually do a screenplay of sorts. I could do a "real" one, but since this isn't really going anywhere, I'm not going to invest that kind of time and energy. However, I will be posting an abbreviated one, in increments, as I read the chapters. This is how I might have done it if I were making it. I am including what I think is necessary, without regard for length. Our budget is, of course, limitless, so we could do it in as many parts as we wanted. This is our fantasy LotR film. I will post the beginning later today or tomorrow.

Before I do, I would ask that everyone refrain from arguing about it. Let's not get into "No, not like that, let's do it this way, etc." If we start doing that, it would never get done, because everyone has a differing opinion. I called head script writer, so I get to do it my way. You can always write your own and submit it to Hector via PM.
I'm going to start a new thread to post it in. If you want to mention how you'd do something, use this thread. This is the thread for pitching ideas, the other is the thread just for the official script. I think that'll just make it easier. If it becomes a problem (that is, using this thread for the comments), we can revisit it at a later date.

I want to emphasize Gandalf alot more than done in the PJ films.
I felt that gandalf was just a "tool" in the pj films, as opposed to a main character.

I'm so sorry about this. I ended up getting very busy, and can't post it now until things calm down. I have it, though, and as soon as I can I'll type it in and get it up here.
