What was Sam's real Westron name, not its English equivalent?
Give the full and the shortened version.

Sorry for the delay. Please don't eat me, Spock!

Q: When did Legolas finally leave Middle-earth, and who did he take with him?

Cool your jets Spock - we're not closing any trivia threads for inactivity.

And sorry for the delay - forgot I was up.

Who were the first two kings recorded to be slain in the wars between Arthedain, Cardolan and Rhudaur? And what was their relationship to one another?

I would say Argeleb (1356) and his son Arveleg (1409). But weren't they slain in the wars with Angmar, not in the civil wars?

You're correct - on both counts actually. I noticed the Appendix B entry for 1356 - which only mentions Rhudaur. Remembering that the son also fell - I (incorrectly) extrapolated the rest. The Appendix A version says that Argeleb fell fighting both Rhudaur and Angmar - and that Arveleg died fighting the host of Angmar.

Your turn.

Thanks, Val. Perhaps in 1356 the men of Arthedain still believed they were only fighting with Rhudaur.

What land did the Eotheod come from, when they rode to the Field of Celebrant to help Gondor?
