Luthien shook her head.

Luthien: Not that I know of mate. Now let's get those bandages of yours cleaned up, before yer arms really do fall off.

Luthien led Koroush below deck, where she had stored the first-aid (using the term loosely) kit. Koroush followed, though grumbling some of the way. With her small knife, Luthien cut loose the bandages, revealing the gory wound. With a damp cloth she gently wiped away the blood that had seeped out of the wound, and rewrapped it with fresh bandages.

Luthien: *finishing tying up the bandage* That ought to hold you up for a few days. Hope it didn't hurt ya too bad.

ooc: Yay! I'm out of the brig. By the way, Pansy, my character wouldn't make any sort of emotional statement. And I kind of want to go smack Loystia just because she is being loud. That's what I would be doing if I wasn't going to talk to the captian.
I'm kind of sad to see someone more hazardous on board than me.

IC:

Bob: Miss Captian, while I appreciate being let out of the brig, I am disheartend that I am still mistrusted. Tell me what I can do to gain your confidence.

Xen: I'm glad you asked. We need the bearings to this world that Willow seems so keen on us getting to.

Bob: I shall need to make a spell to find the correct spot for penetration of dimentions.

Xen: A spell?

Sicirus: I don't think we like spells on this ship, Bob.

Bob: I have no intention of endangering anyone. I am finding a portal between worlds. Once we are through, you will get the map. Anticipating your next question, the map is quite unreadable in this world as it was written magically.

Sicirus: And that's it? We are going to trust you to take us safely through dimentions?

Bob: It is the only offer I can make.

Edit: FIXED IT!

"Thanks Luthien, not about to have these arms of mine fall off. Didnt hurt, sides, i've had worse." He made his way down below, to inspect the hull and damage done to the frame. He whistled. "I am amazed this poor thing still floats! It'll have to be hauled ashore if I am to fix this, not to mention if the storm catches us, we are finished."

Going back to his workshop, he decided to take a break and set up his quarters there, as he had some late and the bunks were filled. Shortly thereafter, he had a decent berth, his hammock and special shelves near the wall. The ship creaked beneath his feet as he finnished the aft part of the gunnery deck, deciding he wanted to see exactly how the storm was catching up, he went above deck. And noticed Bob being led up to the captian. He shrugged and climbed the rigging, letting the breeze refresh him.

A ship emerged out of the shadows that were engulfing the sea and sailed towards Mithlond harbour. The ship was quiet until morning came, when two figures emerged and headed down the streets, where they turned toward Cirdan's dwelling.

Elf 1: *knocks*

Cirdan: Aye

Elf 1: Greetings Cirdan the Shipwright, wisest of elves.

Cirdan: Greetings. Who be you and what are your dealings in Mithlond?

Elf 1: I am a mariner, and friend of Xenoia Karris. She was passing by this way, and sent word for me to follow through Mithlond, where Cirdan would give me materials for repairs, food supllies and I would have a chance to find new crewmembers.

Cirdan: A mariner? A pirate you mean.

Elf 1: Maybe.

Cirdan: *points at other elf* And who is this?

Elf 1: This is my first mate Harliquin. Well, was what Xenoia Karris said to be true. Will we be given materials for repairs and supplies?

Cirdan: Aye. Our wood as recently been mostly burned, buut we will aid you as we can.

Elf 1: *bows* Thank you. *Makes to leave* Oh, is Xenoia Karris' ship anywhere nearby.

Cirdan: No. You just missed them actually, they left yesterday morning.

Elf 1: thanks you.

Two Elves: *Leave.*

OOC: This was all done with XK's permission.

OOC: Nope. The information I gave is all I-- I mean you get.

Xen: That still doesn't make you trustworthy, but I see no alternatives, yet.

OOC: Ok, I don't know where to go right now. Bob is yours to god-mod.

OOC: As per Tiny's last post, it's breakfast time. But this post is flexible.

Nurv: Now that we're down here, and the sails are set, do you want to get some food?

Count: Sure, I'm pretty hungry myself.

*Nurvingiel and the Count leave the brig area (and the noise) and head for the galley.*

Nurv: Hi Tiny, any food left?

Tiny: Of course! We have fruit salad, French toast, and cereal!

Count: Delicous, I'll have some of everything please.

Nurv: Me too!

Tiny (smiles and dishes out two plates full) : That's what everyone else said too.

Nurv (between bites): I love fruit, and this fried bread is wonderful! All these years and I never thought to fry bread like that.

Tiny: You soak it in egg and milk first. Might as well enjoy such a breakfast while the supplies last!

Nurv: It is... words cannot describe how good this is. I might write a song about it. *Tiny looks dubious* I'm serious!

Count: You really like food don't you.

Nurv: Well, yes. I think we will spend many pleasant times together Tiny.

Nurv: Hello Faligorn, you have got to try this... fried bread. What was that name again?

Tiny: French toast.

Faligorn: Odd name that.

Tiny: I'm not sure where it's from. Maybe the person who invented this dish.

Nurv (dreamily): I love that person. Is there enough for seconds?

Tiny: I already gave you two pieces!

Nurv (coaxngly): I'll help you with dishes...

Faligorn: Wait now, some of us haven't had any.

Tiny: Well I did make a lot. The milk had to be used up today. I got it as a special treat for you.

Nurv: And we appreciate it, don't we lads?

*Everyone says "Oh yes" between mouthfulls.*

Luthien had returned to the wheel, and was now gazing at the beautiful horizon. She felt the power the shipped possessed at her fingertips. It was enough to make her smile. Her thoughts soon turned to the incident she had back at the warehouse in Mithlond.

Luthien: *mumbling to herself in inaudible tones* I can't believe he's still looking for that ruby...and better yet, he bought my story...*chuckles* A fool such as that is not worthy of such power....hehe

She continued to steer the ship ahead of the storm, which was beginning to break not far behind.

hm, very tasty,

said faligorn, tasting a morsel of the bread,

are very any oatflakes to go with my fruit?

he went on, spooning out some fruit salad, and pouring himself a glass of water, before adding a pinch of herbs to the water, which he took from a phial attached to his belt

an old war wound!

he said at the strange expressions from those around him, gesturing to his shoulder as he did so

these herbs are exceptional at removing various aches and pains

*Nurvingiel was very interested in the phial, and moved over for a closer look.*
Nurv: Interesting... I have some small knowledge of healing, but not much of herbs.

Faligorn: What sort of knowledge?

Nurv: Just basic stuff like bandanging wounds and taking out arrows. What's in the phial?

OOC: I won't godmod that one.

said Faligorn, handing Nurvingiel a pinch of the dried herbs to smell or taste

oocoetic license on herbs

*Nurvingiel took the pinch of herbs and smelt it.*

Nurv: Hmm... it has a very pleasant aroma. Athelas, anarathil, and isil...

Faligorn: Isilgond.

Nurv: Right, thanks. We'll have to talk more about herbs Faligorn. Right now I think I'll see if there's anything I should do on deck, but maybe after this shift is over.

OOC: Ok, I want to become an active member of the crew now.

Xen: You will follow Sicirus' orders to the letter.

*Bob left the cabin with Pansy and smiled.*

Bob: I cannot wait to be useful.

Pansy: I think the crew is having breakfast just now.

Bob: I do not eat. I shall see you later. Thank you.

Nurv: Well I'll see you around later Faligron! I'm sure we'll have plenty of times to talk. Where do you want this bowl Tiny?

Tiny (indicates): Just there.

*Nurvingiel put her bowl in the pile of dishes and left the galley. She did a double-take when she passed Bob near the ladder, but said nothing. "That one bears watching," she thought. "Just because she can be trusted more than the intruder doesn't mean she can be trusted."*

*Reaching her cabin, Eärniel took the key from the chain around her neck and opened her map cabinet.*

Eärniel: Hello, pretties, come to mama.

*There were many little islands left after Beleriand sank beneath the waves so many years ago, there just had to be a island, suitable to the needs of the Nal, among them. She spread some maps over her desk and took her journal, with descriptions of all the shores she had been to or heard of, from a drawer.

But she hadn't looked at the map for 10 minutes, when she heard a knock on the door.
*

Eärniel: Come. Oh, Sarin, it's you. Do you want anything?

Sarin: Well, I overheard you telling the captain we'd need to find an island to moor to finish the repairs. Have you found a good one yet?

Eärniel: No. Why?

Sarin: I may know just the place...

Eärniel: Oh? Let me hear it then.

OOC: EXK! I will really need your help after this conversation! Don't stay away too long!

faligorn rose as nurvingiel bade him farewell, before finishing his oats and fruit, he then went outside and lit his pipe, before gazing out to spy the weather
well,
he said to no one in particular
it would seem that the storm will hit tonight!
as he said this, the various crewmen shuffling past stopped, looked at him, and then gazed out at the clouds with a look of bemused fear on their faces, before scurrying back to their work.
faligorn then got out a brush from the cupboard, and swept out some rooms, before polishing the shipwheel

*On deck, Nurvingiel went to Luthien who was still steering.*

Nurv: Any orders?

Luthien (looks behind at clouds): We might want to set our square sails. We need to outrun this storm. In the meantime, go aloft and I'll give you the signal when I want those sails. If the storm does hit this ship, it is absolutely vital that all the sails are furled. Otherwise, this ship will take a much harder beating, and we could even lose a mast. There's no way we can take any abuse like that. If need be, cut a sail loose. We have extras.

Nurv: Aye aye! I hope it doesn't come to that, but you can't count on your trimmers.

Luthien (smiles): Good. Get yourself aloft then.

*Nurvingiel climbed the rigging much faster than her first time, but she still felt inefficient. If there was an emergency, would she be fast enough to prevent distaster? She sat in the shouds, alternating her gaze between the stormy sky, and the tiny Luthien down on the deck.*
