Congratulations Fred!

I don't write anyting much, but I post an abnormal lot. I joined this month, and look at my post count. (110) That mainly frustrates my mom, but oh well. I'm on all night.

Good for you, Fred!

Is the poem going to be published as one poem among several others in a book, or by itself?

Of course you can see it! As soon as I figure out which one I wanna submit. Here is the other one I got published last year though...it's one that I am considering, this and "Herosim"

The Night
I look out and I look up.
I watch the stars and weep.
I see the moon and cry out
like a wolf on a clear night.

I look out, I look up.
I weep for the death.
I cry for the answers
that I will never know.

I look out, I look up.
The stars lessen and die.
The moon's glow is no more.
The city's lights have killed it.

I no longer look out.
I no longer look up.
I cannot watch the stars or see the moon.
That world of night, which I love, is gone.

Whoo, that's good . Sorry for editing my post and removing my request to see it- my reason for doing that is because I realized that as your poem wasn't published just yet, it might not be copyrighted yet. Didn't want anyone thinking of stealing it .

But that's really good. It sounds like the theme is nature crying out against technology, invention and the draining of religion. Have you really thought about symbolism in your poetry?

O SURE Lief, just change your post! *tries to glare but ends up laughing* One poem amoung a few others in a book, and it get's a WHOLE page to itself! *laughs*

edit: AGH! *laughs* I hope this doesn't go on much longer!

Actually Lief, that's exactly what it is! Well...somewhat...I never saw anything exactly religious to it, but the rest...yepyepyep! double meaning to the poem really. Anywho, it is already copyrighted, I got it copyrighted through poetry.com

One of the really nice things though is that after you've published, it becomes more easy to publish again. I don't know if that counts certainly for first accomplishments, but I hope it is. Do you think that's your best poetry, or are there others you're also trying to publish?

There are others, like I have said, there is Heroism, which you can cheak out by going to poetry.com, and typing in my pen name, Faith Lowe(pronounced love). And there is Adventures that is also getting published, but considering the slowness of the publication of the Night, and Adventures getting published the same way, I fail to be exsited by that.

Of course Coney! OK, so it's as alive as can possibly be...but "I will work harder" The writewights I feel is one of my friends...did that make sence? Cause Silverstripe started it, but I was the first member! I'm gonna stop now before I start rambling again...well actually that's to late.

Well, your post made perfect sense to me, Faith, but then, that may be because I feel the same way about Writewights as you do -- since I did start this thread.
