GW, I know this is a little bit rude, maybe, to ask you to edit your post like this...but you have just jumped the story forward a few hours, and the rest of us haven't had chance to say we've done anything at all. Which will require us to ignore several hours, or do flashback things like "but before Avery arrived..." and that gets messy.

Might it be possible for you to edit your post into a bit of Avery actually doing the cleaning, please? You won't really miss being given the cooks job, so you don't need to rush back to the beach. We won't forget you

Hope you and no one else minds me asking this.

Now it just gives the people on the beach a little time to you know, build their fire, introduce themselves etc, like BB said would be a good plan.

i have moved it on to sunset - only because i envisaged the beach soiree / interaction / story telling to be under firelit stars ...
