I'm sorry if you disagree with me, but I'm not the only one who feels that way.

I never said you couldn't vent--I asked you keep it to private channels, and I said there was no harm done.

My mom had a dislocated dist for a while, and it pinched a nerve in her shoulder. It wasn't pretty.

That sucks, Chrys - I know slipped discs are just awful, awful pain. Stay in bed for a day or so; at least that's what MY lazy butt would do. Too bad you can't take anything for it... hope you're feeling better soon .

the thing i hate most is i can't go riding when i get home from college tomorrow, that and havin to take my crutches tomorrow to college - i hate it when people see me on crutches and immediately feel they have to take pity on me, i am not a charity case!

This is the absolute last time I'll ever speak of my "past", or whatever, on Entmoot again, and I'll keep it clean Big Brother, so bear with me:
1. I am NOT and never will be ashamed of, embarrased about, or sorry for my past. I lived and will always live my life my way, and do not begrudge anyone else's naturally held universal right to do the same. However, so many young people, especially kids here in America, could find even a little benefit - the benefit of truthful illumination - from being able to see an angle re: "the fast life" that comes from someone who LOVED the fast life, lived it large just like American mainstream music & film depicts it, and yet - presents the realistic downside of said lifestyle while genuinely advocating against it, and with the authority of one who was there and back again, not some guidance counselor or cop or sunday school teacher. Keeping this side of life mysterious, glamourous, and "forbidden" is a wonderfully effective way to attract new recruits - if even a small fraction of young people just starting out in life could do so armed with a few FACTS rather than just what they've seen in the movies, heard about around school, or listened to in the latest gangsta rap song, think about how easier it might be for them to make their own informed choices about what to do with their bodies, their future, their money & time.

That's all; I'm so over this f-ing topic at this point. I'll keep my "dangerous" opinions and commentary to PM from now on.
Ciao, all

I have never seen a more sensitive group toward moderating. No one said you could not discuss the topic, vent, or share your success stories. All that was said was that if there are particulars that are discussed and seem somewhat harsh or graphic, to please discuss it in PM. Why does such a small moderating call have to be twisted around and turned into a major issue and taken so personally?

SGH, I've seen these moderating tactics used elsewhere before.

I do hope Lotesse sticks around, and I do hope people, including moderators, are not so hasty. This is afterall 'Entmoot', right?

Tactics?

I hope Lotesse sticks around as well.

Yes, this is Entmoot, and we strive to make it a safe and fun place for everyone, so a little cooperation would be helpful, instead of constant critiscism when a moderating call is made. Afterall, this is a moderated board

Im just confused on what exactly was "harsh or graphic" in those posts. If I complain about a post that no one else thinks is "graphic" will it get moderated too? Because there are posts in other threads that make that one look like a nursery school bed time lullaby.

Well, talking about shooting, snorting, smoking and various ways to use a drug, along with throwing in the "f" word is not something to be confused about I would think. And yes, if you saw a post that in your opinion was graphic and complained, it would be moderated.

We have many threads on Entmoot that discuss sensitive or contrversial topics. If we discuss sex, are we going to get graphic and say how to do what? Or do you think that should be permitted?

It isn't that these topics can't be discussed. It is how far to go and how descriptive should we be before the line is drawn. Why is that such a problem for some?
