That all sounds good to me. I haven't checked the story thread yet, so I don't know if any of you have posted yet...

Thank you!
Now I've got them seated for lunch, so it's time for some unexpected lunch guests to turn up. Aerin and Nightshade, you are welcome to join us

Yes, as you see, Aerin has forgotten to introduce Nightshade. I thought perhaps you might want Barufiniel to react to seeing a Badger walking around before hearing it talk (hopeful curiosity, have a chance to reiterate quickly that she has a history from Narnia). Give you a little more freedom if you want.

Thank you, that freedom is a very good thing!
Now I'll have to think carefully about that post - seeing that I'll be playing both characters. Perhaps I split it over two posts to keep the different POVs - or perhaps I don't.

I was talking to Varna elsewhere and she reminded me of this thread.
As someone guessed a few pages back, I was having an extremely busy period in RL and wasn't able to post for a while. Unfortunately, when things eased off a little, I'd quite forgotten about posting here. I'd really like to continue this story. I completely understand if you'd rather not, given the long hiatus and the fact that I disappeared last time but if there is anyone interested in carrying on, please let me know. If I hear back from a couple of you, I'll do a catch-up and make posts to move the plot forward. If not, no worries. ~ Aika

Get this show back on the road!
By that I mean, why yes, I'd like to continue.

And at the moment it's me everyone (well, except for the Perelandrians and the Hobbit) is waiting for
My two characters are about to meet each other for the first time, at lunch, where your character will be watching, Aika. Great to have you back!!!

Thank you! I have to admit I was a bit nervous about returning after so long - thank you both for being so nice about it.
I've caught up on what you've all written. I loved the exchange between Barufiniel and Elspeth about the letter (and the explanation of the concept of writing!) I think I'll write an Ashkaio post today with him at lunch reflecting on what he did that morning. Varna, you can have your characters meet, and after that, unless there's any more lunch business, everyone who is going to can set off towards Minas Tirith?

I will - but I don't think I'll be able to finish it today ...
I might even make it into two posts, one for each of them - I'll write Barufiniel's POV first, and I might as well have that up that while I'm thinking about Nightshade's reactions. We need Aerin to say that she'll come to Minas Tirith as well, so we need to wait for Midge. But the only lunch business we need to do, is to make it clear in the story (the writers already know) who is going. And when that is finished, we can set off. Will be great to have this going again!

Two posts sounds like a good idea, Varna!
I've just posted Ashkaio, mainly reflecting and recapping on stuff. And staring at Nightshade.

Princess! We're getting some Other Worlders back now... I'm excited about what's coming up...
No rush, but it's Baru's turn to speak. <- indicative of my anticipation

Yes, it is - I've written a post for each of them on paper, just need to type it
(I hope they will be worth waiting for, though ) There will be more than the two posts, though. I'm working on a third one, and they may need more than that. And of course Aerin may wish to comment on what happens ...

I'll be away and off line most of next month so I want to make sure I leave no one hanging in the mean time. Beryn can safely stay hunting the little dragon so she will probably arrive at Minas Tirith well after everybody else. I doubt the game will have progressed to that point before August, so I'm safe in that regard.
But as for Indigo, that will depend on what Midge plans to do with her Perelandrians. Midge, if you want to have both groups of characters meet up in July, feel free to move Indigo along for what is necessary. Otherwise I pick him back up in August and we can bring everybody together then.

My first encounter posts are finally up - it's now possible for others to post their observations, while I write the next post. I guess I will soon reach a point where it's best to use a mixed POV, at least for a while.

Okay, just a heads-up for everyone. In the interest of keeping the RP going, I'll be moving us forward to setting out for Minas Tirith at the beginning of August.
People are still very welcome to post between now and then, of course, if they've got unfinished business at the inn, and flashback posts are fine after that point if it's not a convenient time for you to write this week.

I'll get something done this week - the encounter between Baru and Nightshade ought to be written out in full and not as a flashback, and I've got enough of it in my head to be able to do it soon. Sorry I haven't posted already ...
Then in August we can move on. Aerin at some point needs to say that she will come as well (I guess she will ), but if necessary, I suppose it can be done in a flashback - but if I get my (whatever) going, Midge will be able to post again, too (she's been waiting for me, poor girl ...).

I suspected as much, but I see I needn't have worried.
