... and then inside the hobbit hole is a tunnel that leads into a mine (Dwarf) and the tree outside is located in a huge, old forest (Ent).

Okay, I've got a new one... I was in Chemistry and I was mixing some Methil Red with HCL. I asked my lab partner, "Hand me the Methril Red please." I had to correct myself, luckily she wasn't a LOTR fan.

When studying for my Government test, I saw the state: New Hampshire, and I realized that if Frodo lived in the USA, he'd live in the state of New HampShire. Pretty funny, huh.

My mind is pretty wacked, I know...but I love LOTR!!!!!!

I am deeply impressed. I mean, this stuff is just classic. Someone who's really obsessed with lotr would compile our posts into a list!

My friends were making fun of me for being short, and I said, "Short people are awesome! Okay, I'll give you four examples from Lord of the Rings!"

Another friend who likes LotR sais, "Merry and Pippin!"

And I added, "Frodo and Sam!"

Everyone else groaned and said stuff like, "Obsessed!" and "Oh no." and "Here we go again."

Then I went, "Boo ya hobbits!" It was funny.

I've said this before but..... My friend Caleb teases me all the time 'cus I'm like 6" shorter than he is, so I've started to think of myself as a hobbit and him as Aragorn. This is reinforced 'cus I LUV mushrooms. I have to go, talk to you all tomorrow!

Actually, if you go dig up the old 'obsession' thread - the YKYLTTMW thread - (stands for You Know You Like Tolkien Too Much When), Tanoliel compiled all of those posts into a list. I think she still has it, so if you want to pm her and ask, you can take a look at how obsessed people were last year around this time...

Bah! Many of my friends are a foot (or more) taller than me. A guy at work calls me "Hobbit". I think he's...six two? That's a guestimate.
