OOC: I'm taking Sicirus' comment to mean it's bedtime.

Nurv: Faligorn and I are on the top bunk in our cabin, and Pansy is on the bottom with Tiny, in case you pick one of us.

Sicirus: Aye. Well, goodnight then!

Nurv: Goodnight! I'll... erm... look out for those bedbugs.

Sicirus: Oh yes. Do that.

*Nurvingiel went to their cabin, quickly changing her shirt before the others came in. She climbed onto the top bunk, determined to get some rest in case she was called for the second watch.*

Pansy hopped into her bunk and settled down. Bed bugs...ick. She was still craving tea horribly.

Pansy: Bed bugs?
Tiny: Aye...ew.
Pansy *grabs frying pan from under her bed*
Tiny: Is that a–?
Pansy: Yes.
Tiny: How is a frying pan going to help you keep away beg bugs?
Pansy: I would tell you, but then I would have to tickle you.
Tiny: Really?
Pansy: No, of course not, I was just being dramatic. It's an affect of my lack of tea consumption.

OOC: I think I need a scene. thanks

*The crew were quickly dreaming in their bunks and in their cots,
all hoping that they would not be called for second watch.
A quiet sound came swooping, and would have caused much fright
had not everyone been sleeping in the middle of the night.*

Tiny: Nice poetry, with some tiny flaws--

*Be quiet and listen.*

Bob: *talking to the wall* I know it's a predicament, but they do say we'll be underway by tomorrow night. . . . . . . I am sorry, but there is nothing I can do, I am in the brig, you know. . . . . . . I can't do that! You said I was to play by their rules. . . . . . . I am in just a rush as you. . . . . . . Yes, it hurts me. . . . . . . *sniff* OK. I'll see what I can do.

*As it so happened, there was someone listening on their shift.*

Flannery: I don't think the captian would like our prisoner having secret conversations in the middle of the night.

*Bob's attention turned from the woodwork to the vampire.*

Bob: Ignacious Bob Flannery. Ironic, I didn't realize I'd borrowed your name.

Flannery: And what is ironic about that?

Bob: You do realize where this ship is headed?

[i]*Flannery shifted uneasilly.*[i]

Flannery: I may have heard.

Bob: What I have heard is that there are those who are not too happy with you at present. There are even some along our course who can make it extreamly difficult for this vessel to pass if they knew you were on board.

Flannery: *hissing* You will not threaten me or this ship, hear me?

Bob: You are the threat. I am simply passing on a message.

*Bob sank onto her bed of straw as Flannery stalked up to the deck. Staring out to the sea in front of them, Flannery resolved himself to, eventually, tell the captian of his little secret.*

Flannery: *to himself* Once we get there... that would be of more help... and could kill that waif...

*The night was quiet, and those who slept, slept deeply, anxious to get underway.*

OOC: OOH! That was fun! I like animosity!

Sicirus sat in the crows nest examining the dark waters and found that the only life stirring were the whales humming and Flannery watching the water stir. The moon shone full and Sicirus remembered her werewolf friend Romulus who use to annoy the village by howling all night for no reason. Sicirus closed her eyes for a second then noticed the humming of the whales stopped. She opened her eyes and searched for the reason only found that a few fish jumped hastily away from the ships wake. It seemed almost now too quite for Sicirus and she decided she would ask Flannery for a little insight of creatures reactions during the night.

Sicirus: *climbs down from the crows nest* Eh...Flannery?

Flannery: Eh?

Sicirus: Did you notice the whales stopped singing?

Flannery : They must have moved on.

Sicirus: Then why has the water stopped stirring all of a suddent????

Flannery: ......

OOC: A couple spelling things... you switched the 'a' & 'l' in Flannery Sicirus (though exelent post. Your narration is always wonderful.)
Tiny: BITE vs BIT, bit being the past tence of bite, which is a verb or a noun. If you have been bitten you do not need the extra 'e' on bit (which, as a noun, is very different.)

OOC: Sorry, the inner editor took over

OOC: LOL Katt, BQ and Pip!!

IC:

*In search of peace and quiet, Nurvingiel grabbed her cloak and went on deck.*

Nurv: It's a fine night, I should do this more often...

*She had in mind a large coil of ropes, a comfortable place on a ship to enjoy the night breeze...*

*Unable to sleep due to the noise coming from the other set of bunks, the Count rolled over and got up*

Count: Will you be quiet??? Ew, what's this I've stepped on.

*Looking down, he noticed a splotch of a former arthropod*

Count: Actually, on second thought, go right ahead and complain. I'm with you 100%.

*On her way to her cabin, Eärniel couldn't help but hearing the noice coming from the crew's dorm. She frowned, they did know they would need their sleep to sail off tomorrow, then why were they still up? At that moment Nurvingiel left the dorm.*

Eärniel: And where are you going off to?

Nurvingiel: *jumps slightly* Oh, sorry mate. I was going to rest on deck, that's okay, right?

Eärniel: *frowns slightly* If you want to. What's going on inside there?

Nurvingiel: Tiny got bitten by a bed bug.

Eärniel: Bed bugs? That'll be a first.

* Eärniel lets Nurvingiel pass and enters the crew dorm.*

Eärniel: Okay people - *blinks* Pansy, what are you doing with that galley ustensile?

Pansy: *looks innocently at frying pan* This? Oh, I meant to show you in the pub before, this is my weapon of choice, see? *gives frying pan an experimental swing*

Eärniel: I see it alright, but why are you waving it around in the dorm?

Pansy: To defend myself against the Evil Bedbugs of Doom?

Tiny: Something bit me!

Eärniel: *raises eyebrow* We never had bugs aboard the Nal and last time I checked, bedbugs were tiny invisible acari that aren't even big enough to nibble on sleeping pirates. But if it bothers you so much, dump your blankets in the laundry room and get yourself new blankets from one of the store rooms. After that I want you all asleep.

Count: I don't think getting clean blankets are going to do the trick.

Eärniel: Oh? And why not?

Count: *eyes rather large squished arthropod before replying* I'm thinking getting a flame thrower might be more effective...

OOC: Eärniel - see my post in the discussion thread.

*Nurvingiel found the perfect coil of rope, and settled down to rest. However, she just felt too excited. Maybe it was the recent fights, or the fact that they were soon leaving on an sea adventure, but she couldn't close her eyes. She lay back, watching the stars, at least allowing her body to rest if her mind would not.*

Pansy: New sheets would be nice! *hops down from her bunk* While I'm at it, would anyone like some tea? I'm about to explode, really. I haven't gone this long without a spot of tea since I went on that demon-hunting adventure and was forced to give up most of my supply to the evil demon-lords. Bloody tea hoggers.

*crickets chirp*

Pansy: All right, more for me then!

*Pansy found her way into the galley and filled up her teacup (which she would never be found without) with hot water and plopped in her tea bag. She sniffed it happily and hummed a tune while walking out onto the deck.*

Pansy *noticing Nurv*: 'ullo Nurvingiel! What are you doing up here?
Nurv: Oh, just resting, practicing on my knots.
Pansy *plops down*: Thats nice.

Sicirus: Anyone awake?

Sicirus: *sigh* *KNocks louder then enters* Okay fine then.

Before Sicirus was abot to enter the next room she runs into a tea sipping hobbit and recongnises her as Pansy.

Sicirus: Hello Pansy.

Pansy: *looks up from tea* hello.

Sicirus: Its nice out tonight. very calm. why don't you take one of the shifts for watch and enjoy yor tea outside in the fresh air for a while.

Pansy: *grumble then smiles* At leats I have my tea.

Sicirus: And when your shift is done you can go and wake up whoever you wish to take the next shift. *whispers* that the fun part*

OOC: terrible sorry mates, computer fried finally. Glass of water done her in. Not to mention getting horse stomped. Don’t be to rough with Koroush, he is havin a rough time himself.

Koroush bristled at his delays. He wanted to leave land and feel a deck neath his feet as soon as possible. Practically snarling, he jogged passed the out cold elves that were the reason for the last delay. And as it would be held, he damn near got crush under a burning beam for his hurry.

"What in the 12 hells?!" He dodged, rolled, ducked and weaved in order to not be barbequed. He immediately realized that if the fire spread, the rest of the harbor and the NAL could be cinder by morning. Grabbing buckets of water, he aided in the dousing of the fires. It was quite a while till he was done, and while still putting out flames, he saw the Captain and Navigator talking to Cirdan.

Slightly singed and very tired, he jogged his way to the NAL. “Bloody hell, I’m just a carpenter and a wave robber. Not a blooming fire squad chief…I need me a nap and some Band-Aids, dammit. ” And so the lone pirate walked up the gang plank, awaiting his standing orders.

(I really do need band-aids, stupid skittish horses.)
