"hey! who messed up me jacket?" he shrilled and pirouetted around on the spot with a flourish ...

That line just slayed me, ButterBeer

GW, with the Aragorn and Gimli bit, maybe you should edit so it's Aragorn and Eomer so we can keep the start of the counting game start from the book.

If PJ is to make the odd right royal appearances throughout, it might be a nice and heartwarming theme to start to add up and describe his various injuries as and when he appears that he picks up from being variously shot at, pushed over, hit, etc etc?

i.e. (whatever context) and Pj, limping badly, with his arm in a sling and a big bruised cauliflower ear, did ...whatever??
what you think?

Frankly i think the old traditional favourite of a great comic custard pie might be a winner here ?

Didn't PJ get his head chopped off a couple of posts ago? or does he have a clone.

Such mere trifling details would not Bother PJ!

He'd maybe just write in a zombie scene, or flashback to the cloning of the PJ's as not seen in chapter 5, book 2 that he hadn't really bothered to read anyway.

besides he seems quite impervious to most of the attacks aimed at him so far!

i think i have personally killed him twice already, so, um, it's fun to have him keep popping up, and then getting killed

or at least painfully dis-figured ...

If we keep this level of writing up we'll almost certainly get a call from the great man himself to work on his next serious screenplay: The Hobbit: an historical Documentary (the view from Spaceship Alpha the Extended edition)

my feelings are he'd bring us all in to tone it down a little and add some serious gravitas to the peice.

that's not a bad idea... Hey, you guys, I love this "Homies" story thread, apologies if I seemed to barge in on the story-- I'm still new to online etiquette like that, but I really love this fun collective storytelling, it had me laughing out loud a few times the other day. I love how it starts out.

yeah me too:
as a diuscussion thingy and as someone pretty new to posting on Lyrd's too: should we go with a bit of humour occasionally or do you prefer it more serious?
whats the feeling?

I like the kenny idea btw.
welcome aboard the good ship Lyrd Lotesse.

Definitely have humour, the great mental imagery is what makes ad-libbing this storythread so much fun; I mean, it's Tolkien's dramatic story already, and our reinterpretation is for fun, a way to acknowledge/honour JRRT and laugh, too. Maybe 2/3 humour, balanced out with serious drama? just a thought...

Kind of kenny,Kenny, kenneth Branagh, kenny, kenny, Kenny branagh etc?

Now there's a mental image: kenny from South Park mixed with the Shakesperian actor and actor's Actor kenneth Branagh!
