And so we soon come to the succouring and reinstatement of Theoden, the banishing of Wormtongue and the Battle of Helm's Deep.

I nominate this for the best line of Lyrd:

Even though I'm sure it's physically impossible to ride motorcycles, especially choppers, in an ancient and snarly forest, I don't think we should change that.

Actually, it may be possible... old-growth... closed-canopy... there may not be a lot of undergrowth... but the Ents are sure not going to appreciate the noise!

LCU, I sure hope you'll have time later. We are in need of each Lyrder.

I take it we've ditched the staple gun and pen knife ideas for legolas' bow and Gimli's axe.

No, it's fine. Probably easier to have it that way.

I was thinking we could have Eomer coming out of jail with a ball and chain attached to his feet and Theoden has to undo them.

That sounds cool. We could really go with an "O Brother Where Art Thou" old-timey jail thing.

Éomer could even have been working on a chain gang!

Minor quibble though - if Théoden is going to have a non-biker title, which is fine, why not still have him as King Théoden?

I like all the recent postings, especially Wormtongue in black and white stripes with a bag marked "loot".

GW weren't we having Eowyn the total opposite to what she is in the books. Aren't we going to have not wanting to fight.

Well, sorry again, I thought having her as the Bride would be funny.

I know I'm getting a bit ahead but we could have Styba (Merry's pony) as a push bike?

What's a push bike?

That made me think moped. Not the small motorcycles or scooters that people call mopeds in Sweden, but real mopeds: a bicycle with a motor on it to help you up the hills. Then when you pedal, it recharges the motor somehow. (Nobody rides these anymore.)

Hey gang, I just finished reading LOTR all the way through again for the 50th time or so. It's still pretty fresh in my mind...but I can't seem to get inspired towards jumping in with something yet.... ...When lighting hits...jump back ...er, right

Uh Oh...PJ just called me. He's just finished reading our Lyrd of the Ryngs (to date) and is upset that we've somehow managed to recreate his origional script almost to the word, including OOC comments... (I just knew it!@$#%&#%$^)

had forgotten about these titles thingies!

pheww!

that took a lot of time to plough through, like painting the fourth bridge, everytime i made up some ground you guys whizzed on again...

finally read it all ...

i don't know what "OOC" means but in my ignorance associate it with the Librarian from the Unseen University ... ( and my youngest Neice: but that's another story!)

so anyway permission to jump aboard the good ship Lyrd?

best
BB
