Are you still taking new participants and is there any restriction on the kind of character we can use? Can Oak Leaf join in on the 'fun'. Sands of Harad is out, because the heat and the sand would scorch her poor roots.

I am still fairly new to the RPG's here. The rules are different on different boards.

I have been reading through the RPG. Is the entire setting going to be Moria? I would have the think of a plausable reason why they would be followed by a Huorn. They would have had to have maybe taken something from it, or aroused its curiosity. Moria is big enough to house a Balrog, so why not a Huorn.

From here on out, the RPG is going to be in Moria. You're welcome to join. As you said, you'd have to contrive a reason for a Huorn to be in Moria. Now, there is a central artifact, the Mithrilstone, that Gimli has in his possession right now. The Huorn might have possessed that for a while.

Speaking of Gimli, we need to move Alatar, Gimli, Legolas, Nakoin and Tarkhal along!

To her it would have just been a trinket and a plaything. She would not have known it had any special properties. But she would have been miffed at having someone swipe her toy. She would have kept it hidden under her roots and someone perhaps dug it out when they saw something sparkling from under a tree root. She's been following people that have had the stone since. She would have a creepy name. It wouldn't be the sweet Oak Leaf. It would be something like "Choke Root".

She isn't exactly evil, but she could prove an excellent "baddie" for the story. Something to spice up the RPG.

Now for a profile on Choke Root.

Name: Choke Root
Race: Huorn
Species: Black Walnut (Nice grumpy tree)
Gender: Female

Background and discription: This Huorn originally made her home in the heart of Fangorn. Her age can only be guessed. Some believe she predates the Ents. She isn't very big, but she is sneaky and can cloak herself in shadow. She wasn't much different than the other Fangorn Trees until she came to posses the Mithrilstone. No one knows how she came to posses it. Some say she had taken it from a traveler camping on the eaves of the forest. Then things changed for the Huorn. She became the dominant Walnut in her herd. The other trees respected her because she had a 'shiny'. This went on for was seemed decades. Then while she slept, someone passing through spotted the stone sparkling from under her root and dug it out with a trowl. Ever since, the Hourn has been following the stone in its travels.
