For times seen LOTR movie, it's total times. Like if you've seen FOTR, TTT, and ROTK once each, that would be three.

I did that because a lot of people have seen different parts different amounts of times.

I thought you were 30 SH! lol. I think it's your name...

Erm... where's Merlund... you mean Maryland?

EDIT: Lin, I don't have to put your gender. If Jon is right, I will change it.

Yes Maryland.

Yeah, I've seen each movie once in the theatres.
I was born in Pensylvania, but moved to Maryland about eight years ago. Much to my dismay, I've realized that I've developed a lower Eastern Shore accent. Merlund is how you say it in common speak. All of the words are slightly contracted and slurred in the vernacular, but some of the most glaring changes in the language are from "wash" to "warsh", oysters to arsters, and water to wooter (but the "oo" is pronounced as a combination between an o and a u). So "I'm gonna warsh them 'arsters down wid sum wooter." Anyway, anytime I talk to someone who is not from around here, I have to remember how to speak correctly.
I'm not surprised that you thought I was older, most people think that even after they meet me. A friend once told me I had an "old soul", and I think that that about sums it up.

To end this long and completely ridiculus post, I'll sing the chorus to the anthem of the Eastern Shore.

I don't care 'bout the whole state of Maryland
The whole state of Maryland
The whole state of Maryland
I don't care 'bout the whole state of Maryland
I'm from the Eastern Shore

Well... (8 x 7 x 6 x 5 x 4 x 3 x 2 x 1) divided by that long number I said, yields somewhere around...oh well. It was like 16.8 something, and I tossed in the -.05 at the very end to make it a teeny bit less.

I little too big a bit of a teensy bit, I think you'll find. And, while I win no prizes from the plain English campaign, I understand the factorial function!

Yes, I have been to Saint Mary's, and I love it. It's just as good as the eastern shore, but in a different way. It's more historic, hilly, and grand. I'm actually thinking of going to Saint Mary's college. Can anyone tell me anything about it?

oh...well. When I posted it at first (a few days ago), I thought subtracting .05 made it closer, note, I didn't actually figure out specifically to the day. I just guessed a little less than 16 10/12 (.83). Oh well. I suppose I should've done more like .01 or so.

Ah... indeed. But given the length of time devoted to adressing it, it is now probably accurate.

Yes I see now. Without the -.05 it is two days short or so of being accurate.

Interesting....In washington, a lot of older people say "worsh" rather than "wash." I honestly never realized they spoke differently than me until just reacently when I heard my grandma say "I'll go worsh the carrots."
I guess a lot of the reason all of us born and raised in WA don't have the accent is cause of the massive amounts of t.v. we watch...ah, well, such is life.

I know a guy who is now 101 years old and he grew up in the area I'm living in now. Among his many fascinating stories, he remembers when you could tell what town a person was from just by their accent. I suspect that TV is one contribution to the disintigration of the different accents, but also the area was invaded by snowbirds decades ago, and travel is also much more common. This guy remembers going to school in a horse and buggy! In my area we never have car washes, just warshes.
