Tom Bombadil The One Ring in the 21st Century

I hope that this has not been done as a post before...

If the characters from the Lord of the Rings were to exist in today's modern world, what would they be doing? Would Legolas be a model? Would Gandalf be a political advisor? I think that some fun stories and ideas could come out of this...
