Connie Willis

Any other Connie Willis fans hanging about?

I've read four of her novels (Doomsday Book, To Say Nothing of the Dog, Lincoln's Dreams, and Passage) and am currently making my way through the short stories in "Fire Watch."

Part of the reason I love her writing so much is that it is (or at least, it seems) amazingly well researched and tightly plotted. Civil war history? No problem. Making time travel absolutely believable? Easy.

I haven't read anything by her in a long time and none of her novels. A very long time ago I subscribed to Asimov's Science Fiction magazine and very much enjoyed the Willis short stories they published. She's a an engaging writer; I was always pulled into her settings and liked her characters. I think you will enjoy her short stories and it seems I must look into her novels.
