My faviourite scene would have to be the battle of pelennor feilds because of the huge scale it was faught on just amazing

I'm not a fan of the large scale fights in LotR, as opposed to the smaller fights because they don't evoke the same emotional quality. Certainly they evoke feelings and they are awesome, but characters take second place to spectacle in big fights for me. I think the two main fights in the first movie were the better fights, that being Moria and the finale. You really get attached to the characters in those two. I like the way the music disappears during these fights so that you're left with the combat sounds to create the soundtrack. Plus the silence is grim as opposed to the majesty created by the typical movie music.

It seems to be that, taken in context, the fact that there is a thread with this title is sufficient reason to end one's existence.
