Nathaniel Hawthorn Sucks

I can't stand A Scarlet Letter! It's horrible! And my english teacher makes it worse!

That's the only one of his books I've read. I didn't think it was that good, but that could be because we got to read so many really good books that year: Crime and Punishment, Heart of Darkness, Wuthering Heights...lots of really good stuff. In comparison, the Scarlet Letter was not very interesting. When I was reading it, I actually felt sorry for that husband (Hester's husband that she cheated on. I can't remember the name) . So I felt sorry when he went all psycho, which was pretty early on. Maybe I'm just weird.

How does you teacher make it worse?

I don't know, I liked A Scarlet Letter . . . but then, I like almost all books. Come on, the ending was cool!
