Golden house of Finarfin, but the same idea. Don't mind me... I'm obsessed.

Hm. My eyes change colours too sometimes, so there's some merit to that idea. I'd still go with grey though...

Though I don't see the importance, honestly...

well usually when i read the books im not thinking about eye colour. but tolkien doesnt seem to mention appearances to much, although he often talks about what the characters are wearing. i always thought of legolas as having blonde hair with *squints* nope he's standing too far away to see his eye colour....

Apparently many, if this thread has 4 pages. If you don't care you don't have to post.

I know there has already been much debate on this subject but my personal opinion, movies excluded, has always been that Legolas' eye colour is almost impossible to determine. But if I had to describe my thoughts I would say they remind me most of winter mist in the early hours, with each turn the sun reflects in them different and they sparkle and shine with renewed bursts of clolour. The hues are deep and rich like the rolling sea, sharp and keen like the blade of a sword, and as sincere as a well versed song.

But, if we talk movies, Orlando's eye colour is dark brown and for most scenes this is what you see, but for all of the close ups he wore baby blue contacts. This is why his eye colour seems to change so many times throughout the trilogy and why many people argue so strongly about it.

West, west away, the round sun is falling.
Grey ship, grey ship, do you hear them calling,
The voices of my people that have gone before me?
I will leave, I will leave the woods that bore me;
For our days are ending and our years failing.
I will pass the wide waters lonely sailing.
Long are the waves on the Last Shore falling,
Sweet are the voices in the lost Isle calling,
In Eresëa, in Elvenhome that no man can discover,
Where the leaves fall not: land of my people forever!”

I say sea grey. Because I like the color...and it seems fitting.
