In this place will I abide, and my heirs, unto the ending of the world.'

'Then Tuor arrayed himself in the hauberk, and set the helm upon his head, and he girt himself with the sword; black were sheath and belt with clasps of silver. Thus armed he went forth from Turgon's hall, and stood upon the high terraces of Taras in the red light of the sun. None were there to see him, as he gazed westward, gleaming in silver and gold, and he knew not that in that hour he appeared as one of the Mighty of the West, and fit to be father of the kings of the Kings of Men beyond the Sea, as it was indeed his doom to be; but in the taking of those arms a change came upon Tuor son of Huor, and his heart grew great within him. And as he stepped down from the doors the swans did him reverence, and plucking each a great feather from their wings they proffered them to him, laying their long necks upon the stone before his feet; and he took the seven feathers and set them in the crest of his helm, and straightway the swans arose and flew north in the sunset, and Tuor saw them no more.' -Of Tuor and his Coming to Gondolin

I'm near-positive there won't be a scouring. I doubt it was filmed. I do believe what we saw in the Mirror scene was the literal destruction of Hobbiton at the end of it's use in the production.

5 hours? I think I could handle that. I would love to see more of Eowyn/Faramir. I love their story.

maybe so, but the used the part from the prolog (sp) in TTT as sarumans army went through Rohan. That is why i thought they had also filmed the Scouring, and hopefully it will be in the EE.

PJ is once again showing his ignorance of the source material if he thinks Gandalf should be played in a ´ýounger´ incarnation.
I mean come on, Gandalf is what, 2000 years old (not, as PJ makes Gandalf imply in TTT, 6000+) and he came to ME as an old man! How much difference does he think 60 years or so will make?

Idiot PJ.

You are calling PJ an idiot about a movie that isn't even planned yet. Look in the mirror. There isn't anything official about this movie nor any decisions made about it...
