I liked it. But I didn't fully comprehend it until I heard it on tape.

You need to get "The Salmon of Doubt" on tape. It's on there.

Do you know how many times it took me reading Dirk Gentley's to finally understand it all?

I finally read A Salmon of Doubt. I really wished he finished it, it was starting to get interesting. The essays were good as well, I particularily agreed with his views on religion.

My friend is in some one-act play of the Guide. He's Zaphod!! I don't know what they're going to do about the second head and third arm.

If you saw the BBC version, the extra head was paper machee. They made it sleep the whole time.

I sure felt sorry for the whale (and the flower pot)!

The whole series is full of fantastic nuggets.

I didn't feel sorry for the flower pot. Well maybe a little. The whole cosmos is making a joke on him.

And the whale was just too stupid. "And what's this thing comming twards me very very fast. It need a big wide name. Like round, grr round, ground! That's it! Ground! I wonder if it will be friends with me?"

And the rest, after a sudden wet thud, was silence.
