Mon Calamari

I was just wondering when the Imperial invasion of the Mon Calamari homeworld was supposed to happen: in the 2nd or 3rd prequel?

Thanx,

Brewhaha

Re: Mon Calamari

Its probably not going to be shown. There will be a water planet in Episode 2, apparently, but not the Mon Cals planet. Probably happened somewhere in the twenty years between Episodes 3 and 4.

Re: Mon Calamari

I realize that this is kinda going OT but...

...isn't "calamari" french or something for "octopus?" And "mon" is French for "my" so...

...the name of the place is "My Octopus?"

Re: Mon Calamari

Calamari is squid, I think. Nice coincidence, though. If it is one.

Re: Mon Calamari

Calamari is indeed squid. And I don't think it was a coincidence. That's just too obvious.

Re: Mon Calamari

Chances are we will only see the very beginnings of the Empire towards the end of Episode 3.

The attack on Mon Calamari happened before the Rebellion formed so it was at least 2 or 3 years before ANH.

Re: Mon Calamari

If they even involve it into the movies. They've got a lot of stuff to cover.
