Hobbit on Tape

I recently got out The Hobbit Dramatized Cassetes from the library, and I was listening to them, and I thought they were terrible. Has anyone else heard them? Perhaps I have been spoiled by the BBC radio production of Lord of the Rings, but I just didn't think it was that great. Anyone else heard them? Any other opinions?

The first time I "read" The Hobbit, it was listening to a record of it being read (I was about 8 at the time), but I think it must be a different one. Mine ws just a reading of the story, and I enjoyed it.

Yeah...this one is a dramatization, but I'm going to try to find just a reading. It might be better-but then again I'm pretty picky!
