It means "mountain devil". Native Americans had described a creature almost exactly like the Sasquatch, and that is what they called it. That was way back before the white man raped the Americas. At least that's how far back the legend seems to go.

As expected. I dont think that they will disprove the Yeti or Bigfoot entirely, there will always be something. It would be cool if they found a carcass one of these days though. I wonder if they bury their dead.....
