Soon to lose Iain (M) Banks

Am very sad to hear that my favourite author, Iain (M) Banks has learned he has but a few months to live. I met him a few years ago at the Durham Book Festival where he hosted a witty and enjoyable Q&A session. One of my literary heroes, and it's sad to think there will be no more Culture sci-fi novels.

The news was broken with typical humour at http://www.iain-banks.net.
