I'll be rude and continue.

So, last night we went out to Furuskär, one of the islands with our study population. It's on the protected area that belongs to the zoological station I'm working at, and it has a small cabin (and a sauna, of course ). So I spent the night there with Emma and Ulla, woke up at 4am and went to check on the colonies to see if the sexuals are flying. I took time for some photography, too..

A bush-cricket or katydid (fam. Tettigoniidae) in the boat house


Someone else was also interested in the flying ants.. It might be a Tetragnatha-spider, not sure..
