Well I'm not saying that the galaxy in question is ours in the future, I'm just saying that we don't know when it was or where it was, it could be our galaxy in the past!? Or maybe it is coinciding with our current galaxy somewhere else?!

Well, supposedly some well-meaning astronomers decided to name a galaxy I think 55 million (or is it billion?) light years away the Star Wars Galaxy. I beleive it somewhat fit the shape of all previous maps drawn of the SW galaxy. I highly doubt that Lucas meant for it to be even related to our galaxy. Although, it requires an explanation on how humans could evolve in both galaxies. And ducks. I seem to remember ducks were a very common animal in the SW galaxy.
