Theoden, Eomer and Wormtounge & Frodo, Sam and Gollum
I've recently noticed a similarty between the Theoden, Wormtounge, Eomer triangle and the Frodo, Gollum, Sam triangle.
1) Gollum and Wormtounge counsel their masters against the other member of the 'triangle' 2) The masters (Frodo and Theoden) become weaker because of these evil rumors and counsels and hearken to them. 3) Because of these things the other members of the triangle (Sam and Eomer) are sent away. 4) They both return in heroic circumstances to save their masters. Anyone agree?
