ic: The crew of the Nal worked all day and at sunset were each armed with their own canon or bow or sword of some size or type. The enemy was nearing and we could hear the loud pounding of their feet. Our hearts raced in our chests making it hard to concentrate on how to defend the ship let alone ourselves. In the distance a large band of rugged looking pirates neared us on a ghostly black ship that sailed swiftly towards us.
