Best place in Beleriand

Which place in Beleriand would you like to visit most of all? Which place do you think is the most comfortable place to live in?

Doriath seemed to be a very nice place, if you like the woods. Think about it, a huge forest probably full of elves and wonderful animals, and with the Girdle of Melian as protection from evil on the outside, you would be perfectly safe in the woods. And Thingol’s “Thousand Caves”, the Halls of Menegroth, must have been spectacular.

But if you like caves, I wonder if not Finrod’s Nargothrond was nicer than Menegroth, even though Nargothrond was carved on the model of Menegroth. It couldn’t have been for nothing that Finrod was called Felagund (Hewer of Caves) by the Dwarves. His caves were probably the most beautiful things ever carved into a mountain.

Then there was Gondolin, the great Hidden City of Turgon. An Elven city right in the middle of the Encircling Mountains, imagine view from Amon Gwareth (the hill on which the city was built). It must have been astonishing! And if you one morning looked up into the sky, you might spot one of the Eagles of Thorondor circling the sky.
Like the Girdle of Melian protected Doriath, the Eagles made sure that Gondolin was kept secret and safe. Gondolin might have been the safest place in all of Beleriand.

There were many other marvellous places in Beleriand, but these three are the ones that I think could compete for the title ‘Best place in Beleriand’.
What do you think?
[EDIT] If you believe that there are better places than the ones listed above, then say so!
