The classes today were fun and I'm starting to get less scared of some of my classmates.

Oh! Tonight I'm going out with my parents, grandmother and my great uncle and aunt from South Africa! I'm really looking forward to it, because it's been a while since I last saw them.

I've been looking and looking for this thread that once existed (I'm talking, maybe a few years ago) about whether or not Balrogs had wings. I wanted to read it again, and now that I'm searching for it... I cannot seem to find it. Does anyone know what happened to that thread--am I just missing it? Anyway, it had to have been in the Middle Earth forum or in the LotR Book forum... I don't remember.. Help? Anyone?

I think that statement pretty much applies to most people...if they are social/have friends/or just like learning

haha, but yeah, i agree, school is really dull, but really if you make it that way. I guess its just your attitude toward school. I enjoy school, most of the time, it gives me something to do lol.

School for me just opened on the 25th of August. I like my classes, for the most part. All but SAT Prep (its such a joke). I decided not to take as many honors classes, and no AP. I need to increase my class rank so that I can be in the top ten percent of my class to get into Maryland State Univ. So now Im in class with a bunch of goobers

, hahahaha, they are all right, i presume hahahahaha. But I pretty much get along with everyone!

Anyway, I got really off topic, I was just agreeing that I have fun in school aswell.....for the most part.....

I like school. I like learning new things. But there are just a lot of classes that have so much potential but fail to deliver.
I'm just glad I have the opportunity to study to my hearts content though. ^_^
I'll probably keep on learning in the evenings even when I have a job

I mean, I want to learn to speak Russian, Arabic, more history and some theology. Among other things

What a f*#&$(# disaster.

On Saturday, I was checking my online banking and noticed that there was a hold for $107 on my account. I was concerned, because I had not authorized any payments that I could remember for anywhere near this amount, and wracking my brain, I couldn't come up with anything it could be.

This morning I called the bank, and found out it was to some random pre-paid mobile company (I have a contract phone through Verizon). The bank gave me the number, and I called, and the first thing the number said was along the lines of "If this company has appeared on your bank statement and you don't know why, press one." This made me more than a little uncomfortable, and although I stayed on hold for a few minutes, I quickly hung up as I didn't want to give these people (who I very much doubt are a legitimate company) any more information about me.

So I called the bank, who told me I would have to go to the police and file a report in order to get my money back. Why on earth the bank can't just stop the payment is beyond me. Especially as it has not technically cleared my account yet.

But I just got back from the police station, who said I could pick up my report (to take to the bank) at around 2:00pm today. They were nice, anyway, and the police officer seemed to know what to do.

What a freaking disaster.

At least the police were helpful then, even though the bank wasn't exactly.

Why wouldn't it be enough for them with some written declaration from you that this withdrawal was not authorized by you, and therefore should not be carried out? Weird.

At least they should do something when they get the paper they have asked for.

Im the same way, about learning new things atleast. I am always trying to learn something new. I love understanding as many things as I can that interest me, and even if they dont, I still know it
