these topics are funny because everyone's "good ol' mooting days" are completely different. For most users, it is around the time that they first joined - their first several months or even year of being a member. If you were a lurker - i suppose your "good ol' days" could even be right before you joined.
This board has been around since Sep 1999 - which year was the best? :P

Faramir, you'll have to take that last comment to another thread! It's a huge discussion in itself!
I think what hector mentioned about the movies was true - we were all so excited to see if they would be any good or not! And then there was a ton of stuff to talk about when they came out - what parts they got right, what they got wrong, etc. etc. I can still remember watching the first movie - whenever they got a bit "right", it was almost painful, it was so good! There was a lot wrong, but there was enough right to justify me buying all of the movies. I just kinda ignore the bad parts.

I don't seem to see ANY reason for which this started, in fact, it seems out of the blue from BOTH of you; Lotesse for thinking Rian was referring to you, and Rian for saying something in the first place that might be taken as a vent and perhaps an "attack".Anyway, to begin reminiscing myself, and because I want to stay out of this while trying to prevent it, I think I'll just compliment myself on being "Scientific" about religon. I choose the simplest possible hypothesis, and go from there! I can sum up my religious beleifs with this simple phrase. "There's 'smoking gun' evidence that God created the universe."
