Banks, Post Offices and Libraries: a complaint

Around here, Banks open just when people get to work, close barely thirty minutes after people get off, and its SOOO taboo to be open on Sundays
One day I hadnt paid my piano teacher fifty dollars owed because I couldn't cash my check, since the bank was already closed.
The next day, I go to the bank, it's 5:00 normal time for closing the bank. It happens to be friday, when they close at 3:30!
The naxt day, I get there at 12:30, they close at 12:00!

As John Cleese reminds us in a skit of his "Banks open two hours after you go to work, and close one hour before you get off. Consequently, Banks are open for two kinds of people: the unemployed, and bankrobbers".

Post offices: Same deal. they think they're so high tech that they can choose whatever hours they want.
For instance, Three deliveries from amazon.com have not arrived to my home. But they have been delivered to the local postoffice. The postoffice doesnt tell me about this. they dont send me a little card telling me that my stuff arrived but that they were too incompetent to deliver it to my home (much less tell me about it!@)
On top of that, they close early! These people who work there take an HOUR AND A HALF for lunch! Hear that!? And THEY CLOSE EARLY!

Libraries: Much better than Banks and PO's, but still evil wneh it comes to hours...especially on Saturdays.

my advice, dear hector ... become a bank-robber. Lie low for a while by working part-time as a librarian and at the post-office: they'll never be able to find you!

My neighbour has looked in my laundry in the laundry room . My laundry! And I desperately need new socks...

What were they looking for? How'd you know they were rummaging around in your laundry? Maybe they were gonna steal it, then decided not to since your socks weren't up to snuff...

Your neighbours are a bit strange and rude. I mean the others in the building as well.

That's a BRILLIANT idea! Yeah, I just got home after spending the day at Venice Beach, anyway my boyfriend wanted to get to the bank before it closed to make sure and cover 2 very, very important checks so they wouldn't bounce, and so here we are, doing Mario Andretti/Evel Knievel driving manoevres through insane friday afternoon L.A. commuter traffic, to try and make iot to his bank branch - after all that stress, what? what happens next? The friggin' bank had JUST closed. Literally like not even 5 minutes prior to our impressively dangerous ride to pull up FIVE minutes too late.

Cops don't catch my man when he's with me! Not often, anyway. Well, a couple times he got a speeding ticket and I was the passenger. He's a total maniac driver, it is a bloody miracle he's still licensed the amount of crap he pulls on the streets, with all his fancy sporty- cars and tricksey manoevres.

I know the feelin, whats worse is when you can put all the money you want in there but they won't let you take money out unless you get a release form signed in triplicate, and it must first be lost, found, lost again, eaten by dog, put in compost, and come back as bathroom tissue,

Incredibly true
In fact, I think John Cleese said something along those lines himself.
You forgot "run through the tax office"

well, the word Vogons backwards is Snogov .. which is about as relevant as most bank's customer care departments.

I prefer vogon poetry to calling one of those automated services.
