problems with people who think Luke had a green lightsaber all along.

Once upon a time, me and this othe person started talking about Star Wars.
The subject of lightsabers came up, and I was saying something about Luke's first lightsaber belonging to Anakin.
Then he revealed to me that he thought Luke only had ONE lightsaber in the trilogy. I told him no, that Luke had made the second one (or acquired), because he lost his blue one in cloud city. This person dared to challenge me!
"No Luke only has one lightsaber in the movies, the green one."
"No, Luke's first one is blue, and he lost it".
End of that reminscence...but behold!

During a game of Star Wars trivia, the question of the color of Luke's Lightsaber in ANH came up. "Green". Again!

Now I can see how its possible to confuse all of Anakin's Lightsabers in Eps. II, III, but Luke's?
Has anyone else encountered this problem?

well you see the problem is that in A new hope it is green(well more turqouise than green but i digress ), in empire it is blue and then in rotj it is green because he made one. i don't know why it is turqouise in a new hope i had a theory that the lightsaber was was turned down to a less powerful setting(obi wan didn't want luke to hurt himself) and that caused a weird turqouise color

the real problem we will all agree is that the best color of lightsaber is red (though purple is very nice as well)

No, no. It's called "old movie effects". When the lightsaber colors were dimmer.
And turqoise is still blue. It seemed prefectsly blue to me on dagobah, and elsewhere.

Dagobah was in ep 5 so it was definetely blue then, only in ep 4 was it the weird turquiose color (IMO it makes sense the the power setting would be lower especially when he is on the falcon practicing i mean you would want to absorb the little bolts you wouldnt want them being deflected everywhere ) the old movie effects is the real reason, but when your arguing with a fake fan who thinks that his lightsaber was green you can use my explanation to explain their confusion.

The best is not red. The best is orange, or yellow. Orange is way cool...
