we have the venting thread but i thought we may as wlel have one where we can share things that are good in our lives (probably wont be as succesfull as the venting thread)

its only 10 weeks to christmas and i reckon im gonna pass my driving test soon

I just found out at the last Rotary conference that I'm going to Japan next year! I've known I was accepted into the program since November, but they kept us waiting before telling us what country we were going to. Japan was my first choice, so I'm pretty psyched. Ah, the world! After the conferences it always feels so much smaller, and so much bigger. There's so much out there beyond just America, but also people are all human and we're all children of the earth (or something corny like that.^^ ).

I was accepted into Drexel University's Screenwriting/Playwriting program. Drexel was my first choice for college, so I'm happy.

Wow. We haven't been very happy in a while, have we?

I'm finally getting everything ready to head to college in the fall, so I feel much less stressed.

One of my competition dances was just finished tonight (the comp. is tomorrow)... so I'm very happy because at the last competition we took it to, I had to improv. thirty seconds of it. So, again, I'm much less stressed.

EDIT: Oh, yes, and my final paper for AP Euro. was reduced today from ten pages to eight... and I was at Six Flags all day instead of school and had a marvelous time.

'Kay, now I'm done.

I happy that it's almost the end of the year for school, and I'm finally graduating!!!! I don't have to deal with those weird teachers anymore! Also on the last day my class is going to Six Flags... I hope I survive...

Oh, and I forgot to mention:
Mom is doing better. They did a Tracheostomy, because having the tube directly through her mouth for a long time would ahve permanently damaged her vocal cords. Her heart is weaker, but they might ahve found an antibiotic that treats the STAPH. She's under 50% sedation now, so when I went to visit her last night, she understood what I said. She still can't talk, becaus the air she would need to talk doesn't even reach her mouth, but hse can nod her head. She's all upset because hse missed two weeks of her life.

Mertico- my mom is constantly redoing rooms in our house. Right now we're re-doing the staircase... it looks about a million times better than it did, but I have to tell you that the moving furniture and painting and repainting gets tiresome after a while.

Hee-hee! Long overdue, but we got our son's school video last night! There's a parent who makes it up every year - goes in and films everyone and puts it to music with a couple songs. Last year (when he was a kindergartener) our son only showed up for an instant or two. However, this year he got a big speaking role - two big lines at the start (this year the guy did a mimic movie preview before the two songs - it was hilarious!). So of course I ordered five!
