old films?
has anyone else seen the old movies that were made for tv?

YES!! And in my BOLD and never humble opinion, they were much better than that Hollywoodised children's cartoon of a flick "Narnia." Whatever! I'm serious; the BBC movie was SO much better! Much longer, I mean REALLY long, and sometimes a bit boring in its lengthiness, but MUCH more real Narnia-like.

Yes, I have a couple of the old BBC tapes. Haven't seen the new movie yet so can't compare them, but I really liked the old movies. Thought they were faithful to the books and the actor who played Puddleglum (Tom Baker I think - I'm too lazy to get up and look on the shelf) was the perfect marshwiggle.

I remember watching the cartoon version in kindegarten in 1993...so which one was that? lol I know NOTHING about the history of these movies.
