Theoden any character v. any character

pick any 2 characters, say why you picked them (characteristics, personality, situation etc), who would win, why would that character win.

Mine would be Theoden v. Denethor because both of them have lost sons, so it'd be interesting to see how they'd use that to their advantage. The winner, in my opinion, would be theoden because whist he uses the death of his son to motivate him on, denethor simply wallows in self-pity over boromirs death as he was his favorite son.

Welcome to Entmoot Jammi.

I'm going to put Farmer Maggot up against Gollum. Why? Cause they are both of equal size and it would be a great fight. Farmer Maggot minus the dogs of coarse. Farmer Maggot would put up a good fight but I'm going to have to go with Gollum on this one. He fights dirty and he's a biter.

Sam Vs. Bilbo, why? Both are hobbits and it would be an interesting fight.

Who would win? Likely Bilbo as he's older and has the ring.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Gimli Vs. Legolas, Why? I don't know, it's an elf vs. a dwarf and and they're both formitable fighters and some sorta' nobility, and i think it would be fun to watch them fight... maybe I don't get the point of this thread...

Who would win? Depents on the terrain, if it were in a small closed in area Gimli would win because he can get close enough to use his axe before Logolas can get off a shot, if in a field Gimli wouldn't stand a chance...

Not everybody posts in every thread they look at. All threads have higher views than replies.

You can't, only Mods and admins can, but they may keep it open as the other thread is about two years old.

that's ok then . so what are your fights then. they can be from the hobbit and silmarillion as well, because i've just relised that having it on this board is limiting it somewhat

What a marvellously pointless thread. Well done.

You're welcome.

Fight transcript:

* Ding Ding * "Seconds out, round one."

"The wistful half-elf, resplendent with an embroidered banner studded with diamonds and a necklace of pearl, comes out of her corner strumming a harp and singing of the Doom of Men."

THWACK!

"Oh, the sturdy hobbit-lass lets her have it with a rolling pin! She's flown clear out of the ring and three rows back. The crowd (mostly Gamgees and Proudfeet) are trying to push her back in the ring, but she's out cold. She's not getting up after that one.

It's all over folks."
