Unspam an e-mail
Hi I have a stupid problem with my e-mail account and no-one seems to know how to fix it.
Does anyone know how to unspam an e-mail address after you accedently spam it? If anyone knows and can tell me it would be great. |

Check for a link at the bottom of the spam email which should take you to a page where you can refuse further emails from that partricular sender.

A real spammer uses requests to remove you from a mailing list as a confirmation that it is a real address, and the spam keeps coming.
If your email is receiving a lot of spam, you can always set your filters to be very restrictive. This might result in some of your friends being sent to the trash can though. I would open a new non-Hotmail email address, and be careful what you use it for. Use your spammed email account to sign in to anything on the internet that requires an address. Don't give your new, spam free email to friends who send forwards (even forwards that aren't pointless crap). If someone sends a forward to you and 20 other people, those 20 people now have your address. I think this is one clever way that spammers gather addresses.

Are you using webmail, or an offline client (like Outlook)?

Oh I see. I think in the preferences or settings section of an email account, there should be a list of people who are on your spam list. You should be able to edit the list, and take your friend off it.
What kind of email account do you have? Hotmail? Yahoo? Outlook? Gmail?
