Major trouble edited my sig!!!

I was trying to add "Jerusalem" - the hymn to my sig but kept getting a message to the effect that 500 characters were all that was allowed.

After several removals of text it still read that I had more than 500 characters. How come??

Probably cos you've got 500 characters? My guess is the url links in your sig... they take up a lot of space. You've currently got about 100 characters in your sig, and that's minus the linkage information.

I think the colour codes for turning the text blue etc. also count as characters.

Yep, the colour tags, and size tags take up space as well.

Grey_Wolf, you should use a smaller font. We've had discussions in the mod forum about people useing large type in their sigs, so maybe you could shrink it a tad.
